We have had our daughter in Wee Care since she was 8 weeks old. That ended today as she is set to begin kindergarten. Wee Care was recommended to us by someone we knew and ultimately became our choice. It turned out to be the best choice. The love and care that was give to her was amazing. Each and every person was wonderful and seemed to truly care for every kid, like you would expect from a child care center. The last few years have been spent prepping our daughter for what it is to come, kindergarten. And that they did. From the alphabet to numbers and everything in between. There are no doubts in our minds that she will excel in her future endeavors of school. Thank you Wee-Care and everyone involved in making the last 5 years of child care a wonderful experience.

This daycare was a disappointment turned nightmare for us over the course of a few years, so I definitely gave it more of a chance than it deserved in hind sight. The preschool teachers in particular often yelled at the kids even though their handbook indicated that was not the way they worked. Wee Care's "handbook" also painted a picture that they were very open to visitation of parents, but when I kindly inquired about this, the director danced around it and the preschool teacher, Tiffany, was very unpleasant and tried to avoid it. In the beginning, I was prevented from picking up my daughter and I had to pay a lawyer to write a legal letter to Wee Care's director, Melissa, where my lawyer pointed out KRS (Kentucky) law to allow me to pick up my own daughter (I was there the day of registration and they were shown documents stating my paternity but they still denied my ability to pick her up until they received the written legal demand). I’m a pretty patient person, and I did not try to pull my daughter from there mainly since it was only the first major problem. In a later series of events, we ended up spending thousands of dollars (legal time) and considerable personal time over many weeks fighting Wee Care's false accusations by two of the daycare teachers (accusations reviewed by Melissa, the director) after they were pressured by my daughter's mother to shift blame for her "falling behind" on her learning, of all things, since my daughter's mother began filing motions to use these false accusations in court for custody decisions. The teachers went so far as to claim in a written, signed document that my daughter was lagging her peers and it was my fault due to her attendance, however, the "select few" peers they "chose" for comparison actually had worse attendance than my daughter... I later found that those "select few" peers who “excelled” were either partially homeschooled or had NOT been in Wee Care's program as much as my daughter had been... (the daycare teachers even attempted to redact some of the attendance info that hurt their case, but they did it poorly). This whole thing was just so dumb and unprofessional. The director refused in writing to look further into the situation and refused to write a corrective letter; she seemed to be afraid to exercise any authority over the two daycare teachers. They did often have "help wanted" signs out front through the years my daughter was enrolled, so it contributed to the feeling that they seemed short-staffed. This may have had some play into the director's actions. It didn’t help that Wee Care also lacked much of the testing and communication that their handbook indicated they had. Minor, but it also didn't help the whole picture when the preschool teachers encouraged enrollment in an external sports program that overlapped the very short period of time they maintained for learning - it would have been a good idea to move the learning time especially since other kids stayed inside to learn... just to keep the kids more on-level together... small issue but it was blown up a bit with our circumstance. It also didn't help that the owner, even from very early, often looked angry, or upset, or just unhappy to be there and didn't talk much. Just an eye-opening, big disappointment overall. I've had nothing but good experiences elsewhere with my son's care providers. My daughter would have been pulled much sooner but we already had a court agreement that she attend Wee-Care… this would have been hard to change given the circumstances. The only pros: The other ladies who worked there were kind (the only source of repeat upsets and frustrations were the owner, director, and the two preschool teachers, one of which even had a conversation with me about an ankle monitor the courts had her wear at one time... I should have seen that as a bit of a red flag... and I think she had been there a while). The "school plays" during Christmas and graduation were the only real good parts of the program - definitely some effort put in there.

My wife and I love this place. Both of our kids went to this nursery since they were babies. From start to finish the entire staff listened and cooperated with our requests. We felt as if our kids were always in good hands and had no worries dropping them off everyday.. They have adapted with the current COVID19 era and are in compliance everyday. We will miss you and thank you so much for loving our kids This is a family owned business, and the staff treated us like family. Thank you and God Bless.

My second child had to go to daycare after having the first cared for by my parents and mother in law...to say I was nervous is an understatement. I had several people refer me to Wee Care and I could not be happier. Nervously starting her at 10 weeks has morphed in to excitedly dropping off my ALMOST 3 year old. She has had friends since day one and the staff has always been amazing. The center may not be as "fancy" as some around, but 30+ years in business speaks for itself. I am a momma bear FOR SURE and have never felt uncomfortable .

Both of my children attended WeeCare Nursery and I found it a positive experience the 1st time as well as the 2nd time almost 30 years later when I needed child care for a grandchild. It is still owned by the same family and even had a few of the same employees from when my older children attended. They were also the only child care provider that would work with me on an adjusting schedule.
