Only gym that offers child care in Ellis county (+ Dallas) and are serious about the safety of our kids. When I first walked in I wasn't in awe, it seems old and outdated, but it's not. It's just an old building. People are extremely kind there. I'm a stay at home mom that brings 3 kids so I can be healthy and that only cost me around $85/month. For the way they take care of my kids it's worth every penny AND they even offer to watch your kids if you want to go on a date with your spouse. That's above and beyond and that's more welcoming than anything I can think of. That's very special to me. They offer programs for the kids as young as 6 months. Parking can be busy, but I haven't had to wait long for someone to walk out. Thank you guys for looking out for us with children. That greatly appreciated.
Staff is helpful and friendly! Excited to see the new expansion and park in the near future. It’s nice working out in a place that doesn’t feel judgmental for what level of fitness you are currently at. The kids club is great! Staff is helpful in calming down our kiddo and engaging them in activities.
Hello, I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding staffing, scheduling, and site oversight practices at the YMCA Waxahachie locations. It has been brought to my attention that one particular school site, which serves approximately 60 students and is staffed primarily by African American employees, is consistently scheduled to close at 6:00 p.m. As a result, staff at this location have their hours cut earlier than other sites. By comparison, other school sites in the same area, which reportedly serve fewer than 60 students, remain open until 6:30 p.m., allowing staff at those locations to work longer hours. Additionally, it has been observed that the site director regularly visits only this one school site and does not appear to visit or provide the same level of oversight at the other school locations. At this time, there has been no clear or transparent explanation provided for these differences in scheduling or site visits. Due to the apparent inconsistency—and the fact that these practices disproportionately affect a site staffed primarily by African American employees—I believe this situation warrants a formal review to ensure that policies are being applied fairly and equitably across all sites. I respectfully request that this matter be looked into to confirm whether there is a valid operational reason for these differences, and to ensure that all staff and sites are being treated consistently and without bias. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

I love this YMCA for their pickleball community! My husband and I have been playing there for almost a year, and we will continue to go almost daily. I do wish they had the full 2 hours for child watch all year round, and that they updated the schedules to reflect changes better. Otherwise they are amazing and they do try their best to keep a happy and healthy environment for children and adults! I cannot thank the staff enough for the care they express for my family daily.
