DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE! I was here in 2017.These reviews about them restraining you are true! They bend your arms behind your back and push your elbows up to hurt you, not to calm you down. You can’t talk to anyone the first 30 days you are there and only get 1 phone call to your parents a week. They also make you sit on couches in a circle and just stare at each other all day. Not once did they ever let us outside unless we were walking to the cafeteria or “school room” . They put me on Zoloft at 12 years old, first day I had a headache and couldn’t focus on school, put my head down and they told me to keep my head up and took my chair from me, I felt dizzy went to sit down and they took me to the hall and restrained me to the point I was screaming. They might tell you this is a “ safe facility” but this is all a lie. The employees were worse than the kids looking back.
The staff treats you fairly. I was there 2018-2019. One lady hit, then told the other staff I hit her and I was trying to commit suicide so they took my shoes and clothes. You can only call your family on Sundays. I couldn’t even call my dad because he was a male. They had me on medicine that had me acting like a zombie. If you weighed over 150 for your age they gave you half of what they gave other kids get. It’s a trouble place DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE.
This place should be closed! It's disgusting how they treat kids. Kids shouldn't even be in there. This is an abuse facility
Ware was a horrible place they almost let me die in there, I lost my unborn baby in the and refused me the care I needed they treat me like trash and laughed in my face when I lost my baby
The worst place you can send a juvenile needing help. They honestly don't care about you there. I've been to all of the facilites they have between 2013-2016, and all of them was the same thing. The staff members there act just as bad as the kids do. The schooling is a joke. The only thing good about it was the food. They say they'll give you "furloughs" for good behavior, but when the time comes it never happens. I was hand cuffed and shackled, then hog-tied with more shackles without the cuffs or anything locked and thrown into a room on my stomach on the cold floor. At one point I had about 5 or 6 staff restraining me while one named Mrs. Calhoun hit me in the head with my own brush. And that's only a number of thing's that happened in the 14 months i was there for running away from home and being accused of hitting my father. Even though I told them time and time again every time I ranaway from home that he's verbally abusive and I didn't feel safe there. So there you go. Take that in..
