I'm writing this from the perspective of a visitor. We have visited Walnut Street Baptist on two occasions and they are one of the most genuinely friendly churches we have visited. Lots of churches have a greeter system in place where you get the obligatory hello and a hand shake, but we had people who actually remembered us when we visited the second time. The sermon (from Keith Baker) was theologically sound. From what we can see this is a good healthy Church.
I attend a Bible study once a week. Never attended a church service. The sanctuary is large with comfortable seats. Ive spoken to members of rhe church and they like it alot.
Pastor preached that he believes you are under a curse if you don't tithe. Check out his sermon. I think the title of the sermon was "Proving the Tithe" Yet Galatians says Jesus was cursed in our stead. Did he blasphem the Word of God?
This church is amazing!!!! While there are many members, you feel welcomed and right at home!!!! My kids love this church!
They were very sweet here and helped me with my lightbill after losing my job. Amazing church and great ministry.
