What Parents Say
WA Community Child Care LLC receives mixed reviews with most parents praising staff warmth, communication, and child development, though some report inconsistent teacher engagement and concerns about nutrition practices and meal reporting accuracy.
I have been impressed with this daycare! Every morning at drop-off, the staff is genuinely excited to see my baby. I love that the teachers are always on the floor interacting with the kids and grabbing their favorite toys. The communication is also top-notch; their 'just-in-time' updates when my baby was sick or when we were transitioning to table food made everything super easy and stress-free. I love the photo and video updates throughout the day, and the food must be delicious because my baby eats every bite! We couldn’t be happier
I strongly do not recommend you send a toddler aged child here. First their nutrition program is atrocious. They serve juice in place of fruit and when they do serve fruit to the new 2 year olds they give whole apples and pears, and oranges halved with the skin on. Not developmentally appropriate at all. They also serve chocolate and fruity cereals and have an obsession with teddy grahams which are served at least once a day with either breakfast, lunch or snack. There were days they were served for multiple meals. Right before we left they gave the two year olds popcorn as a snack which is a top choking hazard for toddlers and not recommended until age 4. If you believe in nutritious food for toddlers this is not the place. Don’t trust what they put in the app either. They were marking my son’s meals as “ate most” for every meal only to tell me a month later he almost never eats there! I was telling him he couldn’t gorge on snacks right after school only to learn he was starving! I asked why they are marking it incorrectly and they said they mark how much they ate before they serve the food…what? Totally lying to parents about what their children are eating. Also the Director of Education functions way outside of her role. She tried to say my son had sensory issues on multiple occasions even after I took him to the doctor 3 times per her recommendation and the doctor did not see any signs. I didn’t either but she continued to use that as an excuse and say he needed extra specialized care. We have since switched daycares and my son isn’t having any issues. His new teachers do not notice any extra sensory issues and say he is doing wonderfully. I would also like to add that my son is of a different race than any of the leadership, support staff or teachers he worked with. He was also the only child in his class of that race. I felt ostracized and othered early on and am so glad I moved my son to an environment that supports healthy development and nutrition!
My family and I love this child care! All three of my children have attended this center and were always well taken care of. My youngest currently still attends and looks forward to spending time with her teachers and friends each time we come. The staff is caring and the atmosphere is inviting. If you're looking for a place to care for your child(ren) while you are at work, I would highly recommend this center! :)
Our family absolutely loves WACCC! The center is always clean and organized. Our daughter has thrived in each of her classes. It is obvious that she loves her teachers and they love her. It is such a good feeling to know your child is in an environment where they are safe, loved and learning. Managing that many children on a daily basis is no easy task but the staff do it with grace each day - it is obvious that the teachers love what they do and care about the kids. Whenever I have a question or need something the center administrators are always so helpful and quick to reply. Thank you, WACCC, for all that you do!
I was very disappointed in this daycare. Rarely was I or my children ever greeted by teachers during drop off. Many teachers seemed unhappy with working here and that my child was a burden to them. The daycare runs more as a business, making it seem like their time and money is more important than the children and families they care for. They are not very flexible or understanding of working parents. I did have good experiences with Heather, the director, and Ms. Maria and Ms. Dominique in the Twos room but overall did not enjoy our experience here. This daycare added stress to my daily life instead of helping alleviate some.
