What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise VCDC for its exceptional staff, clean facilities, and caring environment. Multiple reviewers highlight the infant room, experienced teachers, and strong educational curriculum. Former students are reported to excel in kindergarten and beyond.
I toured nearly every daycare center in the Pittsburgh area, and none came even close to VCDC! The infant room is a dream. (Cozy, clean, and set up to feel more like a living room than a daycare) All of the teachers in the infant room are so friendly and loving towards the children. This definitely stems from the main teacher, Miss Pat, who treats every incoming baby like family. Overall, VCDC excels in having great facilities, clear communication at all times, and exceptional staff. I'm already hoping to send my son here for preschool!
Just came here to say that I wouldn’t recommend this place. 90% of Vincentian teachers scream at the kids, the staff really need help with anger management skills. It’s like a military school for toddlers, and even the babies experience attitude and yelling all day.
My son attended Vincentian Daycare from around 18 months until he was 4 years old and I had an amazing experience sending him to this daycare. They taught him so many valuable skills and I truly believe he is excelling in kindergarten because of this place! It’s hard to feel safe and secure sending your little one to a daycare nowadays, but the care your child will receive here is incredible and I highly recommend it. Thank you to the hard working staff here ensuring that our children will be well taken care of and I’m so happy that my little guy got to attend here!
Shame on Vincentian leadership for the poor treatment of staff and families at the Green Tree location. When the long term care facility on the same campus closed, upper management held an information session for parents. Our questions and concerns were met with a defensive and argumentative attitude. After some time we were given good news - the buyers agreed to a 5 year leaseback and the daycare would remain open. Just two months later, we were given 4.5 weeks notice that they’d be closing due to “industry challenges and economic realities.” The alternative daycares suggested by Vincentian have long waitlists, or are not feasible to commute to from Green Tree during rush hour. Parents were left scrambling to find alternative arrangements. Vincentian leadership is not trustworthy. We really liked the staff and facilities at Green Tree. This turn of events has been disappointing and a struggle, to say the least.
My son has been in the young infant room at VCDC since he was 3 months old. As a first time parent, I was really anxious about sending my baby away while I transitioned back to work. My experience with the teachers so far has been amazing. His primary teacher has been working with infants for more than 20 years and it’s easy to see how much she loves her little ones. I appreciate seeing pictures and getting notes about how my son is doing throughout the day - it really brightens my day when I’m struggling! I also love being able to order and pick up a yummy meal at daycare so I don’t have to cook dinner. I can say without a doubt that if I had to go back and choose a daycare again, I would still pick VCDC to care for my family.
