This YMCA is amazing! The staff is top notch, always with a smile and a positive attitude. They have all the equipments that you can ever need,the gym is always very clean the bathroom is impeccable. I recommend to any body that wants to experience a positive impact in their lives.come and check it out for yourself you won’t regret it.

This is an update on a previous review I conducted on the YMCA, Allapatah. Originally I pointed out the many difficulties the Y was having with staffing and operations. I am glad to say that the place has had a 360 degree turn. The first thing is that the staff is a new one. From the bottom to the top. Today's employees are pleasant and very helpful. Any questions or suggestions you have will be addressed properly in a pleasant manner. Back is the complementary coffee and at times there are cookies and cake. There are tables and chairs with beautiful arrangements for the members to sit. In the same area there is two vending machines stocked with everything from protein drinks to cookies. On the other side of the room you have four computers on a counter desk available to all. As you enter the exercise area there are multiple cardio machines for beginners and those advanced in cardiac exercises. Following you will find elliptical, step masters and treadmill units of different intensities all computerize. Next stop are endless size benches for every possible exercises. Small, large, incline ending with Smith machines. The wall is lined with hundreds of dumbbells ranging in weight from 5 pounds to 150. There are weight plates ranging from 5 pounds to 55. At the end there are exercise machh bars. There are at least 15 of them which work every part of the body from head to toes. The next station ha punching bags and monkey bars. This section is widely used by those practicing martial arts and boxing . By the way all the equipment is new and in top conditions. Locker room houses showers, lockers and bathrooms. They're constantly cleaned as well as the entire facility. They also have handicapped accessible bathrooms. Two activities rooms where they hold events are fully furnished. The Y is once more holding classes for children and adults. Everything from Zumba to Karate for kids. There are endless subjects and activities held everyday. This review is only a brief review of the new YMCA. I would visit them in order to get a complete listing of their activities. If you want to try it out you can get a guest pass. They have many incentives and seniors can attend free with their Silver Sneakers benefits which most insurance companies grant their members. I was very impressed and thankful for the new set up.

Updated, high-quality fitness equipment and weights

Thank God for every day that gives me the opportunity to be in the ymca, for sharing people who are cheerful, dynamic, for me, this is particularly my greatest entertainment, to come every day to exercise my health and thank you to all the administrative staff for their great love and family affection that we receive every day, because this ymca is my second families, God bless you all, this beautiful staff.

As a paying member, I expected a much higher standard from this facility, especially when it comes to certified instructors. Unfortunately, most of the staff teaching classes don’t seem to hold any actual certifications, and it shows in the lack of energy and structure in their sessions. The HIIT class in particular was a huge letdown. Instead of high energy music to get your adrenaline going, they play outdated tracks that completely kill the vibe. It’s baffling that they don’t even have a proper app or playlist set up for something as basic as music selection. Additionally, Nancy stands out for all the wrong reasons. She’s extremely unprofessional and appears completely incompetent in her role. Her attitude and lack of organization really bring the experience down even further. Overall, I’m disappointed and frustrated. Members deserve better; Qualified instructors, motivating classes, and a professional atmosphere. Sadly, this place fails on all fronts.
