Many people who play Pickleball here are very unpleasant, stay in their little groups and shut out other players. There is a double standard with certain people who regularly break rules but will yell at others. Don’t trust the volunteers, they only have their self interests. I have seen people drink beer on the courts or play while high. East Naples Pickleball or a good HOA is a much better option. It is unfortunate that Veterans is not better regulated seeing that the county has to pay for it.
Nice park, a lot of retirees, not a lot of riff raff going on. Pickle ball courts, baseball fields, a covered hockey rink (first time I’ve see that in Florida on my travels), dog parks for small and large dogs, and more.
Enjoyed the Wednesday morning Farmer’s Market. Made the mistake of dining beforehand. Big mistake as there are so many great options at the market. Fabulous bread and bakery options, fresh fruit & vegies and prepared international foods as well as honey, jewelry & art.
Good park for kids to run around and play. Most of the pics shown are from many years ago and they must have re done the park since it looks nothing like then. I’m posting updates photos now
Veterans Community Park is a very beautiful park with many different activities for residents. I played pickleball and met very nice people while having fun. There is also a well maintained dog park.
