Valley Points Family Ymca / Colfax Elem. School

My 6yo niece has been going here for the summer program and was playing when she suddenly fell. The staff brushed it off. When she was picked up by her father she was in immense pain. We took her to the ER at children’s hospital where we found out she has a broken elbow and wrist. A SIX year old little girl walked around for over 4 hours with a broken arm and they never thought to even tell the parents what happened or how she fell. The staff is negligent and does not care about your child. The very first day I took her to this program she was afraid to even go in the classroom and the male instructor did nothing to welcome her, he opened the door that was locked from the outside and walked away after clearly seeing she was afraid to walk into a room full of children she did not know. We should have known that they are not properly equipped to handle children at that time. She spent the night at children’s hospital and they told us she could need surgery. I will not be sending her back and honestly you should be concerned for your own child as well. They will not tell you what really happened and that should be concerning all in itself.

My child attends here. The staff members are okay, but Ms. Denise is Amazing! She does everything she possibly can to make sure you are satisfied with your child's experience here. My toddler son had a few bumps & bruises that I was concerned about. When I asked her about it she immediately told me what happened; provided me the proper boo boo reports; and she respectfully ask her staff to give me the run down about what happened. Right there shows her willingness & dedication toward these children. She knows what is going on at all times, and works very hard to provide the proper care for all of our babies needs. My child has been attending here for 2 years. I definitely recommend this place. As a protective & responsible mother, I can say when I walk away there are no concerns, & I am highly satisfied about my child's safetiness and care here. Thank Ms. Denise & Staff members.

My daughter had been going here for preschool for 2 years. Ever since I walked into the building, I knew it was the right place for her. Although there were days where non-ideal situations occurred, the staff stayed calm. They were understanding of my emotions in each situation. Any issue we ever had was solved with care and grace. I HIGHLY recommend this school/daycare.

I love going to the Y because there are so many things to do here. You can swim, workout, sit in the sauna, attend exercise classes, and more. If you have children, they can get involved in sports and lessons for certain things as well when they offer it. They also provide childcare at certain times of the day, which is very convenient for the mommies and daddies. I don't like that they charge you for your children to take lessons or participate in team sports even if you are a member. They also have several events that are fun to attend with your family and friends, whether it be holiday events or community events. They've pretty much got it all.

0/10 I brung my daughter here and when I came to pick her up I seen a few dead roaches and I looked at my child’s hand to see bruises and the other workers told me serena Carroll had her while I was working out this is not ok im truly so disappointed this will leave my daughter with trauma for years!! I will be pressing charges on serena
