What Parents Say
Valley Baptist Church operates a religious daycare facility with strong emphasis on Christian education and Biblical teachings. Most reviewers praise the dedicated teachers, structured curriculum, affordable pricing, and welcoming community atmosphere. However, one parent reported serious concerns about bullying and unsupportive treatment of LGBTQ+ students in the middle school program.
Nice looking church. Went to Sunday morning service, Pastor came by and welcomed us. Trying not to be picky but would have loved to had more members come by and welcome us. Our church we belong to is a very warm and welcoming church. Did not feel the warmth I would have liked to see. Pastor did preach the word of God!
The best decision I’ve made was to enroll my children in Valley. Like every school they have bumps in the road. The importance placed on Christ is why we love it. Then the structure is my second favorite aspect. I’m a public school teacher so I love the accountability my children face at school. The educational values, curriculum guidelines, and dedicated teachers set this school apart from any. You cannot beat the price and community vibe here.
VBCS started out as a great school for my child until middle school. I couldn’t ask for better elementary teachers. Once my child started the middle school portion, things changed drastically. My child started identifying as gay. I’m not sure if it’s a phase or if my child will be gay as an adult. My point is, I do not really care because I love and support my child no matter what. I also believe that God loves all, no matter what they identify as. My child identifying as gay became a big problem as they no longer fit in the perfect mold that school environment was trying to force on my child. My child has become suicidal from being called horrible names and bullied by others. My child also told me that teachers would not use names but have classroom discussions about how being “gay” is not following God’s way of life. Growing up in today’s society is hard enough, I cannot imagine the way my child is being treated is at all acceptable in God’s eyes.
An Independent Baptist Church. We love it! Not for everybody but they teach and preach the Word of God. Also includes a Spanish-speaking service, meets upstairs above main sanctuary. This church sponsors MANY missionaries, has a Christian radio station (WOTC 88.3 fm, stands for Winning Others To Christ) and a Christian school through 12th grade, plus a Mon. - Fri. children's daycare center. That's a LOT, but that's not all.
If you love King James Bible teachings and preaching you’ll love this church! Very friendly folks!
