TLDR; Definitely don’t come here for pickleball. There are no nets. My family and I have been members here for over a year and below are some brief comments and concerns. Please note, I don’t swim. There are many pools, and seemingly a lot of people are only here for the pools. The gym was also good! They are redoing the gym right now, so if you are planning on joining in the next three weeks for the gym, don’t. It’s closed. It will reopen in 3 weeks once the renovation is done. I believe the renovations will make the gym nicer, but I will not know though since we have cancelled our membership. If you are going to play pickleball, you need to go somewhere else. There are very nice courts, but they have taken down the nets. There seemingly are some shenanigans with the neighbors saying they are too much noise and instead of figuring out a solution they went from no play after 6 pm, which is the only time someone with a job can play on weekdays, to just taking down the nets and closing all the courts. In addition, all the facilities are closed on most holidays which is frustrating for those of us who would like to use the facilities on our few days off of work. The last year has been an array of weird hours, closing the courts randomly, or just not letting people play. They have not been transparent with the members at all. This has been very frustrating as we were hoping to play more pickleball. Tennis is still very much functional as it doesn’t make as much noise. The general facilities outside of tennis, pool, and gym are in general disarray. As you can see from the pictures, random things are broken or closed, and they do a slow job at fixing things. The sauna was closed for weeks on end and the hot tub is currently closed. All in all, if you are going for pickle, for the love of all that is good, please go to bounce or the free east goshen park. They both have nets on their courts. I hope the pickleball court issues get resolved, but I will surely never know. As a final note, there was a topless woman who walked in on us in the co-ed sauna.
The nature center/area My son had his third grade field trip here today and it was beautifully presented and done and I highly recommend this facility overall, our youngest had swim lessons here several years ago and they did an amazing job.
The swim program is excellent. My daughter went from being very reluctant to participate in physical activity to an eager swimmer thanks VERY much to the awesome leadership of Mr Bill. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
New and clean equipment in the gym. Swim lanes open with a BONUS: a well maintained SAUNA! People are nice, but mostly keep to themselves. It is often crowded, which can intimidate newcomers, but I enjoy it.
We love this Y location. Front desk staff, weight room staff, swimming and dance staff and child watch are incredible. We have been so blessed to join this community.
