We have been at UMPS for 4 years and it has been an absolute blessing for our kids and our whole family. If you are looking for a school that has small class sizes (max of 12 per class with a teacher and an aide in every room), lots of individual attention, plenty of time to learn through play and activities, and just be able to be a kid at school, this is the place for you! Both of my children have loved going to school every day, which an amazing way to start their school experience. The staff is caring and knows each family well, the kids have made great friendships, and they were more than prepared academically for elementary school when we transitioned out. Leaving UMPS is bittersweet for us because it has been such a special place for my kids to start their school experience and it will hold special memories for all of us.
University Methodist Primary School has been an incredible blessing to our family! If you're searching for a school that is biblically grounded, filled with caring and intentional teachers, and offers fun, engaging activities throughout the year—all in a safe, nurturing environment—this is the place. Our kids are genuinely excited to go to school each morning, which speaks volumes. As a parent, I’m especially grateful for the teachers’ consistent communication about my child’s progress and their diligence in informing families about fire and lockdown drills that support the school’s safety and accreditation standards. Even though we don’t live nearby, we happily make the drive because we know University Methodist is the best place for our children to grow academically, spiritually, and socially.
This place is so special! Both my kids started here a few years ago and it was the best decision for their growth and happiness. The teachers are absolutely phenomenal. It is clear they enjoy what they do. Mrs. Harris has been fantastic with our daughter in Gift of Time! Ms. Vicky has been wonderful with our 3 year old little guy. The school is clean, safe, welcoming, and has very small class sizes. You WANT to send your toddlers and preschoolers here! - LesLeigh Conway Ring
Our family has been so impressed with the experience our children are having at University Primary. The learning here is active and engaging—students are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and learn by doing. It’s been amazing to watch our kids grow not just in knowledge, but in confidence and curiosity. The staff and teachers are truly exceptional. Their commitment goes far beyond academics—they take the time to know each child and invest in their individual development. We also deeply appreciate the school’s commitment to Christian values. The use of “trail markers” throughout the year is such a thoughtful and unique way to guide students in both spiritual and personal growth. It helps connect biblical principles with everyday life in a way children can really understand and carry with them. And finally, the community here is something special. Parents are invited to be a part of the journey, and it feels like a true partnership. We feel welcomed, supported, and valued. We’re thankful every day for the impact this school is making on our children and our family as a whole.
We couldn’t be happier with our experience at University Primary. The hands-on learning approach has made such a difference in how our children engage with their education—they’re not just memorizing, they’re truly understanding and enjoying the process. The teachers and staff are incredibly dedicated and genuinely care about each child’s growth, both academically and personally. It’s clear they love what they do, and that passion shows in the classroom every day. One of the things we love most is how the school weaves Christian values into everything they do. The "trail markers" used throughout the school year provide a meaningful and age-appropriate way to help students reflect on their faith, character, and spiritual growth in a tangible, lasting way. The strong sense of community is another standout. Family involvement is encouraged and welcomed, creating a warm, supportive environment for both students and parents. We’re truly grateful to be part of this school family and thankful for the positive impact it’s having on our children’s hearts and minds.
