Union Cong Nursery School is such a special place! We have one alum and one current student, and it is amazing to see how much the children learn and grow during their years at UCNS. The experienced and caring teachers allow all children to explore, take risks and find their own voice. The Reggio-inspired approach is so special. All children’s interests and talents are celebrated; their curiosities and questions encouraged. UCNS also does a wonderful job of involving families, providing friendship and connections for parents as well.
My three children have had wonderful experiences at Union Cong Nursery School. The school stays true to it's Reggio inspired Philosophy and provides an experience rich in nature, art, discovery and wonder for children. Students develop a love of school and community. The environment created by the teachers fosters creativity, curiosity and exploration. The school is a very special place that our family is grateful to be a part of.
We spent many wonderful years at Union Cong Nursery School, after looking at many options. After moving into the area, we found our true community here... the weekend playdates, parents who you could call at a moments notice who would be there for you, teachers who deeply saw your child and nurtured them fully into amazingly little kids, as Ms. Cathy did. I treasure the beautiful paintings my kids created with Ms. Ginger, learning about Reggio with Ms. Anne Marie, the beautiful Family Fun Days in autumn, the parent socials and coffees, the forums with local experts on childhood psychology and education. UCNS is an institution in Montclair - and we felt so lucky to have found our home there!
Our family has loved our experience at Union Cong Nursery School! Both of our children attended and it is truly a special place for kids to grow and develop friendships. Pre-pandemic and now during the outdoor program, the teachers are amazing and create a unique environment where kids learn through exploration and play. We highly recommend taking a look at UCWNS during your preschool search!
As a proud parent of both a current student and alum I can confidently say that this community is magic. The teachers are one of a kind and show so much care and love for every child. Fun for parents too. We love the Reggio approach.
