UMAC Shrub Oak is absolutely wonderful! Family owned and operated, it feels like one big family from the moment you walk in. The instructors are amazing - they welcomed my son with open arms and really take the time to personally get to know each child. My son recently joined and already loves going. They even offer camp sessions when school is closed, which he can’t wait to attend. What I love most is the focus on values - respect, confidence, and discipline taught in such a positive way. The student helpers are fantastic role models, and it’s inspiring to see such a kind, respectful, and supportive environment. UMAC is truly helping kids grow not only in martial arts, but also in life. Highly recommend!
I was impressed from day one on Master Berlow and his interactions with the children. He teaches an active and fun class. He is interactive and has a relationship with each student. He had a great Halloween party with the children. They all seemed to have a great time. He even has the older students (higher belt levels) learning to be leaders of the class. He invests in the children and it is apparent. Thank you for all you do ❤️
The entire staff at UMAC is exceptional and really cares about its students. I originally brought my son there so he could gain confidence and come out of his shell. Over the past year, I have seen a huge improvement in his communication with others and I couldn't be more pleased! He has been attending the after-school program and he leaves smiling each day. The staff truly cares about its students and I could not recommend them highly enough! We love UMAC!
I don’t have a lot of words that can describe how much being a part of UMAC has helped my son during a really tough time and onward. I’m so very proud of him and so grateful for what you all do truly.
