What Parents Say
UC Early Learning Center receives consistently high praise from parents across multiple reviews. Parents highlight the quality of staff and director leadership, strong teacher-student ratios, educational focus, and welcoming facility with good outdoor spaces. Families report their children are well-prepared for kindergarten and happy to attend daily.
Love the director Barb and all the teachers! The teacher to student ratio is great, and they do a great job communicating with parents. The facility is clean and well-maintained. We feel very lucky that our child is enrolled at ELC.
I highly recommend Empower Learn Create to any families looking for childcare in the Cincinnati area. As a first time parent with a child in one of the infant classrooms I was anxious to send my baby to daycare. The staff at ELC did an amazing job though at easing my nerves, making sure to be very transparent and detailed about processes and procedures. The teachers are intentional about creating a supportive and educational environment for the children (even the youngest children). The teachers are also flexible and patient, meeting the individual needs of each child as well. I know my son will be in good hands over the next few years as he grows up at ELC. I rest easy knowing he is getting the best care and preparation he can for Kindergarten.
We love ELC! We have 3 children who have been cared for at the Center since they were each 12 weeks old -- the oldest of which recently started kindergarten and was more than ready emotionally and academically to take on this next stage of life. Our experiences with the current executive director, as well as her staff, teachers, and student workers have been overwhelmingly positive. Barb Herron, the executive director, is highly approachable and always willing to talk through concerns, answer questions, offer support, and problem solve as needed -- from classroom transitions to COVID policies and behavioral struggles, she has worked with our family however needed. Everyone at ELC has been highly invested in the overall development of our children, which is evident both daily in our interactions and the effort put into twice-yearly parent/teacher conferences (even with the infants!). Our children's teachers communicate with us regularly, problem solve when needed, and are committed to the individual needs of our kids. Over the 5+ years that we have been a part of ELC our kids have happily run into school each day and been greeted warmly and ready to take on the day. I feel confident leaving my kids to be cared for and educated at ELC!
Our family has been at ELC for the past 4 years, and we have had an extraordinary experience with the Center and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a high quality childcare center that focuses on supporting your child's development and needs as a whole person. I am a firm believer in the importance and significance of children having positive and encouraging learning environments that support their socioemotional development, as well as their readiness for kindergarten. Our family was looking for something beyond just a "daycare" but actually a true learning environment for our children- and we found exactly that in ELC!! We have experienced classrooms at ELC across all ages- infant rooms, toddler rooms, preschool rooms, and the summer school age program, and have had amazing experiences with all of the teachers and staff across all of these rooms. It means a lot to me to know that my kids are spending their time in such a supportive environment, and I know they will continue to benefit from the amazing foundation they have received from their learning at ELC!
Had a great time learning the students as the only black male teacher. I enjoyed the opportunity to share my statistically proven impact with ELC. I hated feeling unsupported as a student with 18 credit hours and a full time worker. The pay isn’t nearly enough for the duties and expectations set on lead teachers. Thank you for the knowledge I gained about the private school system and the “hidden curriculum” that is attached with working with UC. I will share with my colleagues and students in title one schools. Blessings to all that are reading this.
