What Parents Say
Twin Tigers Academy is a martial arts school, not a daycare center. Parents consistently praise the instructors for creating a supportive, structured environment that builds children's confidence, discipline, and self-defense skills. Reviewers highlight strong instruction, community atmosphere, and positive impact on students' focus and behavior both in and out of class.
Training at Twin Tigers Self Defense Academy has been an incredible experience for Pax. The instructors have helped her build real confidence and discipline, both on and off the mat. They work exceptionally well with students of all ages—especially kids—creating a supportive, structured, and encouraging environment where everyone can grow. We’re truly grateful for the positive impact they’ve had on Pax and our family.
For some years now, I have been urging my son to take up karate, but he has always preferred playing video games. Recently, I encouraged him to join Twin Tigers Academy in Brentwood, and he has since become deeply engaged. After each class, he diligently practices the techniques he has learned. The staff at the academy are highly supportive and prioritize their students' learning experience. The school places a strong emphasis on discipline and helping students make positive life choices. We are delighted that our son is flourishing at Twin Tigers Academy. (Ethan S)
If you are looking for an awesome martial arts dojo for your child, stop look no further Twin Tigers Academy of Self Defense is the place to be. Twin Tigers is a welcoming atmosphere with wonderful instruction. It's not only a place to master martial arts, but also a place that boost self-confidence, discipline, and respect. There are fun activities such as parents' night out and after-school programs. We signed our grandson up just before COVID hit. During shelter in place, they continued to teach those who wanted to continue their lessons through online classes. Our grandson is now a green belt working towards his brown belt. Twin Tigers is a community where everyone supports and cheers each other on.
We’ve had a wonderful experience at Twin Tigers Self Defense Academy. My 6-year-old son has been attending karate here for the past two years, and the growth we’ve seen in him has been amazing. The instructors are patient, encouraging, and truly know how to work with young kids while still teaching discipline and respect. The classes are well structured and fun, which keeps my son excited to attend every week. He has gained confidence, focus, and self-control, and he’s learned valuable self-defense skills in a safe and positive environment. The staff takes the time to get to know each child and makes sure they feel supported and motivated. Twin Tigers feels like a community, not just a martial arts school. We’re very grateful for the impact it’s had on our son and highly recommend it to any parents looking for a great karate program for their children
I love Twin Tigers, and I have been training here for about more than a year now. From the very beginning, I have enjoyed my experience. I get along well with both the teachers and the students, and the sensei’s teach me powerful fighting techniques that I never knew I was capable of learning. Their guidance has helped me improve not only my physical strength, but also my motivation to keep pushing myself and grow. I am currently in 11th grade and an orange/purple belt, and thanks to the sensei’s here, my confidence has increased greatly. I now feel like I can become anything I want to be, especially with the confidence I have gained in speaking to others and feeling strong enough to protect myself. This boost in confidence does not stop in class, it has carried over into my everyday life. I am more comfortable talking to people and even with my family without feeling shy, which is why Twin Tigers means so much to me.
