What Parents Say
Twin Oaks Child Development Center receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from most parents, with praise for caring staff, developmental support, and educational programming. However, one parent reported concerns about excessive screen time, limited curriculum engagement, and high student-to-teacher ratios that resulted in their child being unable to advance classes.
I must say I am very impressed with this childcare center's attentiveness and patience. My child has been attending this center since he turned one, he's now reached age four and he is THRIVING! My baby was nonverbal (Speech Delayed) prior to attending Twin Oaks, the teachers were made aware and of course I connected with resources to assist with this delay. Teamwork made the dream work! At just the age of one my child was using sign language to communicate, this was something that was taught to him at Twin Oaks by the way, stay with me! Throughout his year here the teachers have sent home homework, kept me up to date on the weekly curriculums, Spanish was also implemented in the three-year-old class! I could on, everyone is great here! Ms. Mable (four-year old teacher) has taught the kids how to spell and write their names... to me that is incredible! To add, my kiddo will be graduating from speech therapy in two short weeks, meaning he is no longer delayed and fully equipped to communicate with confidence! It takes a special leader to teach and that's something I will forever honor! If you're looking for a good childcare center, Twin Oaks should definitely be considered :) To whoever reading this, I hope you have an amazing day! Keep showing up and advocating for these tiny little human beings. You're doing great!
My son has been going to Twin Oaks since he was 6 weeks old. I have always felt they truly care for his well being and that he is going to be taken care of while he's there every day! I really love that they offer the video surveillance that you can access from your personal computer, so I can check in on my son anytime I want. I absolutely recommend this daycare!
This place is amazing. I was so worried putting my son in daycare. The staff is so nice and welcoming. My sons teachers are incredible. They seem genuinely happy to have him there. They’ve never made me feel like a stranger. Instant comfort the day I walked in to check it out. From what I can tell, the children are happy and taken care of. My son will not go to anyone. He will go to his teacher. He is happy everyday when I pick him up. I’m always informed on how he did during the day, what he did, what he ate... He is comfortable there and I know it. I can log into the cameras anytime I want. Every time I have, everything seems to be going great and my son is happy and playing. This is the first time he’s ever played with other children without being afraid of them. He has really opened up since joining. I highly recommend this place, especially for new parents. Your children are in good hands here. I believe that, wholeheartedly.
Don’t be deceived by the fake smiles you see on their faces pretending to care about your child. All they want to do is sit and baby sit the kids. 80% of the time the kids watches Tv. My child went to this daycare at the age of 2. Spend all her day here and they couldn’t teach her anything not even potty training. I even told them what was working at home they told me they can’t follow what I do at home because they have too many kids. I went back and forth with them as they were complaining that my 2yrs old puts everything in her mouth. I complained to her pediatrician which they said it was normal. My child has speech delay because she had issues with her ears and had failed hearing test three times which I explained to them. And when that was finally taken care of, she started picking up with speech. Owner ( Andrea) started pushing me to get her tested for autism because of her speech delay and the fact that she puts things in her mouth. I did and she was rolled out. Then pediatrician also said it was normal at this age that all she needed was redirection. They couldn’t do it. Then owner kept insisting that I get a second opinion for her to be re evaluated somewhere else. Long story short, my child eventually turned 3years old and owner finally called me and said that she can’t move my child up into the 3 years old class because one teacher handles 20-25kids and my child will need too much work for which the teacher can’t handle. She also said that she can’t leave her either into the two years old class because the teachers pays too much attention on my child. I don’t know how the government allow such outrageous kids to teacher ratio. I will not allow my child in a classroon like this even if she had to go here for free. I am glad God had my back because I found a real learning center where children are actually prepared for preschool and not just being babysitted by the teachers and allow to watch Tv all day. Kids here basically teach themselves. Please look else. This place was a mistake.
This place is amazing. The staff are very friendly and they genuinely care for your child. They don't yell at them like I've seen at other daycares. The curriculum is age appropriate and they help to teach your child manners and respect for others. My son is a better behaved child since he started here. He's learned so much and continues to do so. He impresses me each day.
