What Parents Say
Tutor Time East Rockaway receives overwhelmingly positive feedback, with parents praising the warm, caring staff, strong developmental outcomes for children, and useful in-app camera system for monitoring. One parent reported a serious incident involving rough handling by a specific teacher, which represents a significant safety concern.
My son has been attending since he was 4 months old and loves it. The staff has always been very warm and welcoming you can tell they care. Everyone communicates well and keeps you informed throughout the day. The cameras are a nice addition as well so you can see your child having fun and enjoying their time there.
Our son was a "student" at Tutor Time from age 6mo through 20mo. In that time, he has developed so much in so many different ways. We have to give a lot of that credit to the staff and the environment of Tutor Time. Some pros: * the camera was one of the main reasons we chose this Day Care over others. it did not disappoint. The app experience was great and the video was always available and worked smothly * the staff. it truly is like a family. We knew all of the teachers well, and they knew us. Most importantly, they knew our son. Even teachers who were responsible for kids much older than our son knew his name and were always concerned with his well-being. It's also just a very warm place, and everyone there seems to like being there and like each other. that rubs off on the kids (and parents), too. Our son would give hugs to his teachers when he showed up, and even his old teachers that he moved on from. We are moving day cares due to convenience, and we will miss all of the teachers and staff tremendously. * as mentioned in the intro, our son's development has been measurable. He is talking a ton (in advance of when he is supposed to be), and his comprehension of sentences and context is amazing to see. I could go on - but he definitely is getting mental and physical nurture at Tutor Time. Some cons: * there is an element of disorganization as it relates to rooms the kids are in, and which teacher they are with, and where all of our son's stuff would be at the end of any given day. there is quite a bit of "Switching around." however, we always thought this to be a product of having a big organization with teachers who are human and have lives and commitments etc. he was always in good care, and even if i had to search a bit, i always found his stuff. * he would come home very messy sometimes. again - these are babies/kids. so i am not sure how preventable this is. but there were some days his clothes were essentially destroyed and his face - well - could have been cleaner. The cons were small and surface level. the pros ran deep. Our son is better off for having been at Tutor Time and although we are leaving (we may be back!) we are grateful to the team there and will have very fond memories of our son's time there. I recommend it to you
My son is currently in UPK here and absolutely loves going to school! He has so much fun there plus is learning a lot. They do a ton of activities and exploring. His teacher and all staff are wonderful. I receive progress reports and pics on how he's doing throughout the day with the app they have. It's a great feeling to drop him off and know he's being well cared for.
We have been at Tutor Time East Rockaway since our oldest was 8 months old and he is now in Pre-k there. Our youngest started at 10 weeks and we couldn’t be happier with the care both our boys receive! We love the option of having the cameras to check in on them from time to time. We are so grateful for the staff at Tutor Time for taking care of our boys as if they’re their own!
First year of UPK here and we just ADORE the teachers and staff. I couldn’t be happier! I know the other parents all feel the same. My son is well cared for, has a great education and I really am so grateful for how amazing the whole team is here. We will miss them so much next year when he goes off to kindergarten ❤️
