Whatever you do ,do not send your kids here. My son just recently went in March It took us forever to get him there, which is only supposed to take two weeks and that was very understandable. However, after being there he got sick with pneumonia. He was trying to plead with what they call the medical dorm, but the ladies in there have awful attitudes and they were not really helping my son they were trying to give him a Tylenol. Due to recent cuts in funding, they were not able to treat my son at the Job Corps, which is also understandable. However, I had to talk to someone on three-way, which is my son had to put me on speaker on his phone in order for me to speak to anyone, the lady in medical did not want to speak to me until I threatened to talk to Mr. Cooper, which is the director over the center. my son was at Job Corps for two days with pneumonia and it was the resident manager that ended up helping him because I was on three-way and I spoke to her about what was going on. We had no idea he had pneumonia. They sent my son to the emergency room finally which is great when we found out he had pneumonia. They gave him antibiotics at the hospital and the Job Corps sent my son home on medical leave and told me once the doctor looks over his paperwork that he’s clear then they will clear him to come back to Job Corps. It has now been since April 14 that he’s come home and today is July 14 which is three months later after I sent all the paperwork in two months ago for the doctor to look over and I sent the paperwork to several people someone in the medical department kept telling The administrators that they were trying to contact me over and over again however my number has been the same for 14 years and no one from that Job Corps has contacted me about getting my son back into Job Corps understandably they were under scrutiny from the department of labor about closing down so I understood the delay. However they never closed down and my son was forgotten about. They forgot about my son. This is not a place that you want your kids. Please take a tour of the campus before you make your mind up to send your children here. Also do not expect anyone to answer the phone because the only people that would help me Are people not even In that department and it was only one and her name was Miss Mervin and she deserves a Raise, Mr. Cooper text me one time and asked me was this handled and I told him because I thought it was handled because someone told me at the Job Corps that they would do all the legwork for me because I couldn’t contact medical. I have sent email after email after email. I finally got in contact with someone that emailed me back saying that someone was Contacting me and they have been several times which was a lie this place was set to help students like my son that don’t have the money to go to school to get their education but their punished because of other students that take advantage of the program and aren’t trying to learn, they’re only there for fun! Since then we have put this in our past, but just in case this ever happened again to another family think twice before you send your kids here my son has signed up for school now, and he got accepted into a technical school in which his grants helped pay Luckily.

Ms love doesn't care about my daughter health at all my daughter has seizures and ms love refuses to send my daughter to the hospital when she has them

This Job Corps has the worst communication! Mr. Roundtree is my daughter's manager, the person that's supposed to be waiting on her background check to come back. The background check came back weeks ago! We reached out to him and he said he would call when there's a move in date. We have been waiting for weeks on that only for him to tell my daughter she's a minor(17), job corps is for minors so why he kept saying that I have no idea but anyway this whole time he needed me to send in proof of public assistance. All this time that's what you've been waiting on and didn't communicate that when my daughter reached out several other times. I applied back in February my daughter went to orientation and really nothing happened after that and it's April. My thoughts on this place is that they don't communicate well, very slow about getting your child in, and I get this feeling that something is off about it. We have called roundtree phone and he answered and said we had the wrong number which was infact the right number we've talked to him on before. So I decided not to send my child and just seek other places similar so she can get her GED or highschool diploma. This place and the people here are a joke!

one of the worst experiences ever. The children you meet and actually get to know will be the best part only and it’s a few to trust. They have student ambassadors telling you false information on your first few days. Also , will make it look like you’re the aggressor in each situation. I was put on a restraining order and the person was allowed to come in my space multiple times and not only that be able to follow me around campus. The security did not inform anyone of this because they let the girl walk off saying she just didn’t like me and was not going to. The next day we got in an altercation after she walked up to me twice and threw her hands up. They stated I was the aggressor because i could have walked away. With my back on the wall ? I stated I tried to report the restriction when she came in my space and it was ignored. I hit my head twice on a brick wall during the altercation , where I went crazy for just ice , a pack of ice. I was not giving ice until 5 minutes before the ambulance came & I had to call the ambulance myself while after they heard “ 911 …. “ they stated “ oh , she called we don’t even have to call them” & my mother had to keep me up so I wouldn’t pass out over THE PHONE!!! I was at the hospital until 8 waiting to be picked up after getting done at 5 !!! They refused to charge my phone so I could call my mother & refused to get my items so I had to walk to get them from the dorms myself where a security followed me and tried to block me off from getting my items after lying about putting them in the bags. Most of the trades they state they have are false , you will get there and they will do anything to change your mind even if you state nothing will change the fact you want to go home. Mr cooper and turner is a scam
