What Parents Say
TSL Adventures is a religious facility housed in a historic Reformed Church in Niskayuna with childcare services available. Most reviews praise the welcoming community, well-maintained facilities, and inclusive environment. However, a few negative reviews cite poor business practices and interpersonal conflicts with management.
Our organization had a rich history with the Church for 15 years. Scott Deblock was an awesome pastor. We paid for the playground that's on the premises and had the pleasure of working with amazing people through the years. Unfortunately, in recent years collusion and shady business practices on their part with former employees of ours (now the hack program Capital Kids Care) who copycated our business model, and stole our business contacts and relationships with the church led to their displacing us, disrupting our community programs, and disrepecting our legacy after paying them almost 1 M tax free dollars over fifteen years. Current board and puppet pastor are all shady, and willing to work with an organization that is also shady. Avoid at all costs. Go to new Captial Church across the street instead.
Not sure how to edit my post I actually visited there for free miskeyed the entry. I have only commented on the Social Hall I have not been in the sanctuary so as far as handicapped accessibility I cannot answer for the church proper. They allow my Scout Troop to meet there and I was there most recently because my Scout Troop joined with the church membership for spring yard work and clean up.
Attended a self-catered event in the community room. Large venue can be fully divided in half with sliding walls. Hosts brought precooked food, using the kitchen for set up and refrigeration. Unknown if use of cooking facilities is allowed by "outsiders". Tall narrow windows facing the wooded cemetery let in outside light and give the feel of being in the country; not a busy road. Carpets prevent echoes under the high A-frame ceilings in the style of an early American barn. Neutral color walls allow decorations to dominate. Clean, well maintained facility with onsite parking. Chairs and round and rectangular tables available.

Childcare and after service coffee hour at every service. Sunday school from elementary to high school. 3 church choirs: Senior choir: highschool + adults Cherub choir: for preschool+elementary (Sunday after church rehearsal) Youth choir: middle and high school (Sunday after church rehearsal during coffee hour) Handicap accessible, ramp in the front, and side entrance to the church + elevator in fellowship hall. >LGBTQ friendly. I have never met such nasty and rude people in my life. They are impossible to work with & have a lot of attitude. Definitely do not recommend doing business with them. They are unholy
