Trinity United Methodist Church

What a great church! They have multiple services on Sundays. The congregation is friendly and welcoming to newcomers. The church hosts multiple sports teams and other extracurricular activities (like Boy Scouts). The part-time daycare is great. We have had 2 kids go through the parents morning out program (same thing I went through as a kid 30+ years ago). The church has a small playground which is well maintained. The church also has ample parking.

I'm a visitor in the area. This church has a wonderful Stitchery Ministry which crafts little prayer shawls that are left in a basket at the Doorways. (The Doorways is a nonprofit hotel, located near VCU Hospital for patients and families with extended hospitalizations.) My husband was sent to the hospital with a myriad of issues and with an uncertain outcome and I was sent to Doorways. There, I stumbled across the the little prayer shawls (along with a verse), and I felt loved and cared for at a time I felt essentially abandoned and alone with my thoughts. Thank you ever so much! May God bless this church richly - it truly has its heart in the right place. (PS: I have since noticed that they leave other items there too - such as lap blankets - for people in need of comfort. This is truly a beautiful, compassionate church.)

You must have a good congregation. Mary Anne Noland has featured in the news here in New Zealand. I think our nation recognises her sentiment.
