Trinity has been my home church since 2007. It's a beautiful, gospel-centered community, with excellent preaching, and members striving to be more like Jesus.
I am Catholic and do not go to this church, but this summer I came for a class for a week and I can imagine a family being very happy here. There's a fenced in playground, lots of parking, a gym, nurseries, and lots of classrooms. During my breaks I was able to go for walks around the church grounds and it is beautiful. I picked handfuls of wine berries. There is plenty of parking and it's location is easy to find and get to. The common areas are inviting, including a lounge with coffee and couches and there are a couple of courtyards, one of which was nice and shaded.
My husband and I attended Trinity with our twin daughters when they were attending UVA. When we decided to retire to Charlottesville we knew Trinity was where we wanted to worship. No church is perfect and lately we have come up against some challenges but we have no plans to leave. We appreciate our small group under the leadership of Greg and Ruth Scharf and our precious group members. We know that Jesse and Mike along with the elders and all staff members are working hard to help us seek God’s will for our wonderful congregation. Psalm 23 ✝️
Had you told me twenty-five years ago that I would be regularly attending and supporting an evangelical church, I would have said you were a few fries short of a Happy Meal. Trinity is unlike any traditional Main Street church because of its focus on The Word and on service to its members, the Charlottesville community, and the world. The parishioners are deeply caring and have a dedication that is deep. Sermons each Sunday are jewels, giving me ideas to ponder upon during the week and often to share with others not so fortunate enough to attend. And the musical offerings each Sunday are exceptional, almost always giving be an earwig for the coming weak that helps be fulfill the commandment to pray without ceasing. My life is so much better and richer for being introduced to Trinity!!!
Trinity is an amazing, full-service family church which has a fantastic outreach to UVA international students. It befriends thousands of UVA students every year and is one of the most loving and welcoming churches in the city. It has a great Christian education program at all levels.
