What Parents Say
Trinity Episcopal Church Roslyn Childcare Center receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from parents, with children described as eager to attend and happy during their time there. The director Joanna and teaching staff are consistently praised for being caring, accessible, and nurturing. One negative review describes staffing issues, lack of structure, and the dismissal of a 2-year-old for behavioral incidents.
My daughter has been attending Trinity since Sept. of 2021, she is always eager in the morning pushing us to drop her off at school and always greet us with a big smile when we pick her up. We are so blessed to have found a place like Trinity. Our main concern as parents is to find some place where our kids can feel safe, comfortable and nurturing as they learn and develop social, emotional and academic skills as a toddler to prepare them for the future. Trinity has lived up to all our expectations and more. My daughter will be leaving Trinity this summer to attend Kindergarten and I know she is well prepared for what's to come academically. I am sure she will miss all the teachers there who always put a big smile on her face! Mrs. Joanna is nothing but helpful to all our needs and inquires, we are so thankful for all the things that she does as well as all the teachers.
My son has been going to Trinity for a few months now and I couldn’t be more pleased with the staff here! The director Joanna is honest and will cater to the individual needs of your child. I love the app they use to keep me updated on my sons day and they even include pictures of him smiling and enjoying his time there. At the last daycare he would cry as soon as I left, but now he just smiles and waves goodbye to me as he is warmly embraced by the kind staff members. It is a beautiful church and I highly recommend!
Our daughter has attended Trinity Daycare for nearly four years now and it’s become a second family to us. The director, Joanna, is amazing and all of the teachers are so good with our daughter. She loves going to school every day and we are so lucky to have found a place that we can feel safe sending our child to while also developing and preparing our child for Kindergarten.
My son started attending Trinity in Feb 2021, as my first child I was terrified to leave him in hands I didn’t know. The transition from home to Trinity although emotionally difficult for me was seamless and I’m so thankful to have found a place where I feel my son is cared for by loving individuals. His well being and care are a priority to me and I feel that his teachers and assistant teachers make it their priority as well. The director has been a comfort for me as well as she is always there, answering all my questions and concerns whenever I reach out. We are so happy to be apart of the trinity family and I’m thankful that we found a place to call a second home.
My daughter has been at Trinity since February 2019. When she graduates next year to Kindergarten, though our family is sad to leave Trinity behind we are grateful for the fantastic environment that Trinity provided and the friendships our daughter has formed in the last 4 years. Trinity’s website states: “We are committed to the core value that all faith and spiritual traditions honor: to love our neighbors as ourselves. With this goal in mind, we guide the children to think of others by being gentle, kind, loving and non-violent. Our aim is to provide an unfettered, calm atmosphere fostering a child’s natural curiosity, and creating a climate for learning and growth as a unique individual.“ They truly live up to these values. We are a mixed faith home and we felt right at home. She came home with Christmas tree and menorah art projects, made latkes and learns about numerous other cultures and holidays, including the history of Thanksgiving. In my family’s entire tenure at Trinity, they closed maybe 3 times for COVID scares and provided a safe, loving and stable environment during a tumultuous time. There was one issue where a child in my daughter’s class was biting others. After careful evaluation by the staff and some consultation with the other parents, it was clear measures needed to be taken for the safety of the staff and the other children and the child was removed from the program. We are grateful that the center cares about the good of the group. Children who require extra care are and should be welcome but not to the detriment of providing a safe environment for the staff and other children. The director, Joanna, cares deeply about the program as her children also attend. The teachers also have been top notch and several also have children in the program. My daughter comes home singing about the days of the week and most days doesn’t want to leave! I can only hope she feels the same about kindergarten next year. Thank you Joanna and Trinity staff!
