What Parents Say
Trinity Christian Pre-School receives mostly very positive feedback, with parents praising the caring staff, clean facilities, and children's academic progress. However, two parents reported serious concerns including inadequate staffing leading to behavioral issues, abrupt dismissal of a child, and management's handling of custody access requests.
At first when my son attended, I loved this place. There were a number of teachers that were soon to have their babies employed there. Months after my son was in care, they became short handed with teachers. So much so that the director, Julie Crews, would be filling in at times. Suddenly, my son started biting as a result of one of the new teachers trying to break him from his pacifier without notifying me or asking my permission. I repeatedly, Day after day, told that teacher to let him have his pacifier. One day, he bit 3 different people. This establishment decided to call and tell me to come get my son and that he was no longer welcome there. I kept my son home that Thursday and Friday and decided to go and talk with Julie the following Monday. Julie, myself, my son, and the Assistant Director/cook went in to the office for a conference. While there I stated my case on how he NEVER bites at home and his problem just started since he has been in care there. We came to conclusion that she would allow him to return and see how things went. I took my baby back to his class (with the same teacher) and she refused to take him in her class. A teacher from next door had to come out and take my child. I told Julie about the mishap and she said she would take care of it. A few hours later Julie was calling me to tell me that she had fired that teacher and she was sorry about the confusion. My son hasn’t bitten since. I was totally inconvenienced when Julie abruptly decided to “kick my child out” of daycare. I don’t like the management that is in place there, but they have one awesome staff!!!!!
My wife and I cannot be more thankful and pleased with this school. Our child was struggling the first couple weeks dealing with anxiety of a new school and surroundings and this school (namely the leadership) embraced her during this time of transition. Mr. Martin (the principle) sat with our daughter in class and was very involved in the matter. Both of our children are now thriving and enjoying the school and their classmates. Thank you so much TCA!
I have had two major incidents with this school. One, when I removed my oldest son my husband and I found out that my son was a half year behind requirements. My husband I and had to put our son in Success Learning to get up to state requirements. We never went back to private schools again. Second, recently Julie Crews refused to follow court order and put me on my daughter list and me to have access to my daughter. The hard part was listening to Julie Crews argue with the Judge Blake of why she refused to follow order and call police every time I tried to place name on list or have access to my daughter.
The expectations on any Christian establishment should be high, and through my experience with administration and front office the bar is incredibly low as Christians and as professionals in the education industry. Failing to return calls, along with biased enrollment practices, I can only imagine how much worse the learning environment could be if this is how leadership attempts to operate. Upon looking at other reviews, it seems to show a full picture of where NOT to send your children to be taught.
Terrible experience with my precious grandchild. Daycare is supposed to be a safe haven for the child. It's supposed to be a place where the parents can feel safe and secure leaving them. It's not supposed to be somewhere they are violated and their trust is broken. Unfortunately the staff are very uneducated in the care of children and the only thing Christian about them is the name. Breaks my heart! I am praying for them.
