What Parents Say
Reviews are mixed. Church facility receives consistently positive feedback for worship and spiritual programs. However, the affiliated Sunny Days Daycare received one detailed critical review citing poor conditions, inadequate staffing, lack of age-appropriate materials, and high costs for infant care.
Great church. I always feel welcome when I visit, and always enjoy the pastor's sermon. Definitely feel God's presence and I'm always amazed by the bounty of spiritual nourishment I receive from hearing Gods word delivered through pastor Steve. A lot of good people and I definitely always look forward to my next visit to Trigg street church of God. If you are looking for a church that will fill your spiritual needs it would be a great place to start. Great work with youth and children's programs as well. Hope this helps anyone out there looking for a great great church full of people doing the Lord's work.
This review is for the Sunny Days Daycare that is run by Trigg St Church of God (not the actual church itself). I was visiting local daycare centers and this was the only one who had an opening for a child the age of mine at the time (19 months). Now I can see why they were not full. Upon entering the daycare part of the church, I was escorted into the room where my child would have been kept. This room was for infants through 2yrs. It was small, dirty, and the staff in charge of the children (there were 5 babies/toddlers at the time I entered) was in the process of falling asleep. He was startled when we came into the room as evidenced by him jumping forward from the recliner he was in. He was not interactive with the children, except for bouncing one on his knee. There were no books, no tv, only a few small broken toys laying around that had not been cleaned in a very long time, and one play kitchen with broken doors and no pretend food or dishes. I looked around to see if there were any gloves or hand sanitizer anywhere in the room, and there were none to be found. Now, maybe there were some in another part of the facility, but where these children would lay to be changed- there were none present. The children kept walking/crawling around in circles, from one end of the room to the other, as if hoping to find a toy that worked that they could play with or be entertained by. There was nothing to engage the children's mind, and the staff were less than involved. They wanted $130 per week for less than acceptable care, and this did not include any food or drinks or diapers. I would be weary if my child were in the daycare there, and my heart broke for those that were there. However, I can't speak for the older kids programs of the daycare (ages 2 and up) since they were across the room with different staff. But knowing what I know about the infant daycare there, I would never recommend it.
Moms last place seen. Very respectful and treated our family like family...
A great please to worship God with friendly people
