What Parents Say
Parents praise the Tri-County YMCA facility as a clean, well-maintained community resource with excellent aquatic programs. Reviews highlight quality swim lessons, friendly staff, strong safety protocols, and diverse amenities including pools, weight rooms, basketball courts, and rental facilities suitable for all ages.
Teens, who should be playing in the ages 11-13 league were added to the ages 9-10 indoor soccer league this season. These “children” are at least a head taller than the children who are actually age appropriate for an ages 9-10 league, creating an unsafe playing environment. None of the players are learning anything other than it’s ok for much larger athletes to run over and bully smaller athletes. Shame on whoever made such a poor decision. And shame on the officials who allowed one of the larger girls to body slam to the ground a 4’ 60 pound 9 year old girl without calling a foul.
Most of our interaction with the Tri-County YMCA has been with the aquatic area and pool. We have been taking swim lessons here for a couple years now and absolutely love their program in the pool. That actually even had my daughters third birthday there and it was a blast and everybody was able to swim. We love the beach entrance to the pool so that little ones and older can have so much fun. We like having the water features when they are turned on during free time. We haven't gotten those one too many times but we love when they are on! We have a 20 minute drive every time we go there just because we prefer this pool.
We had to stop going to the pool due to the Auquatics Manager (I think her name is Mindy) being so hateful and nasty to not only our family but others as well. She also likes to talk and gossip when she is on lifeguard duty and doesn’t watch the pools. Scary stuff; I didn’t feel safe allowing my kids to swim there unless I was in the pool with them. Beware! Otherwise, it is a nice place to swim.
Is a great facility has a great pool and Aquatic Serie weight-room basketball facilities rooms that are available for rent racquetball courts lots of leagues that you can sign up for in special programs for children of all ages as well as older people
Very unaccommodating to potential members My physician suggested I try joining the YMCA in the Valley, taking an advantage of their Black Friday offer on membership. When I called to inquire, prepared to pay over the phone since I’m five hours away visiting our son for Thanksgiving, I’m told: Sorry, you have to be here in person. Would not let me join over the phone despite my Thanksgiving travels logistics issue. For a business this unaccommodating to its members or potential members, WHY WOULD I WANT TO JOIN HERE? Seriously? Never mind.
