Send your child here if you don’t want them to be a Christian. If you think this is a Christian School, please listen to what I have experienced and understand that I am not speaking from a place of hatred for the school, but from a place with the best intentions for our future generations. I will begin by listing some of the worst things I have experienced here. Women in the locker room have been spied on while changing clothes. People have done drugs and had intercourse in the restrooms. Students vape during class. Faculty have been arrested for charges such as DUI’s. And the staff are only interested in scolding or yelling at the students responsible, never truly teaching a lesson or assisting with becoming closer to God. If you are going to pay thousands of dollars to send your child here, a public school education is a far better deal, and a safer one, at that. Alongside Tri-Cities Academy being an unsafe environment for your children, it also lacks in opportunity. Public schools offer many more resources than this facility, many times for no additional costs. And the actual subject material you are taught is nothing more than what you would get out of a public education. The ONLY things education-related which differ are you attend chapel on Wednesday (which is like a short church sermon), students are required to take Bible classes (includes studying the Bible and memorizing verses), and science/history books are taught as the Creation Theory and not evolution. If you choose to allow your child to attend this school, they will experience the same, if not worse environment as a public school with a very similar education. As a former student, I recommend a public education and going to church with your child or incorporating Bible lessons at home. It will save you thousands of dollars which you could put toward a college education for them in the future.
There just aren’t enough good things to say about this school and the staff. It’s been the BEST move not only for our daughter but for us as parents, as well.
