What Parents Say
TR Jackson Early Head Start receives mixed reviews with significant concerns about staff conduct and enrollment processes, though some parents praise specific events and educational programs. The facility struggles with consistent customer service at the front desk and has faced serious allegations regarding classroom management and child care practices.
The Pumpkin Patch event was absolutely amazing! It was so well organized — from the teachers and staff to the volunteers, everyone did a fantastic job keeping the kids engaged, on schedule, and having fun. The atmosphere was joyful and welcoming, and you could really tell how much effort went into making it special for the children. It was one of the best events I’ve seen the county host for kids of this age. We can’t wait to attend again next year! 🎃🍁 Hands down to the leadership here. It’s shows that she is appreciative and doing a great job when her staff is outstanding.
Walked in with a parent who was picking up their child, the front desk woman couldn’t give me the time of day about enrollment or any pamphlet beside a card for the consoler if I’m not mistaken but I can’t recall as I didnt keep it. No help, not getting passed that door with my child if I can’t even communicate with the people at the front door !
Teachers here Clearly do not like their jobs. Will pinch grab and dig their nails into students. Mrs. Reese and brown would restrict water from children causing health issues due to dehydration. Also, these babies only get to sleep 1/2 an hour yes 30 min Which is really not enough time for this age . There is zero potty training. And the teachers will also show them scary things like skibidi toilet Which is definitely not appropriate for potty training children. The building is so old it is crumbling everywhere. And after all that there's actually a Waiting list for years to get into this place. So there's not more pre-K options in the area. And it is true there needs to be more funding for pre-K. Just sad for this Community...
T R Jackson pre k is a good place if you have a child with any disabilities since they get more government funding for each child with a disability that's enrolled. Im very disappointed with the way I was treated for trying to enroll my second child and was told no even though I was told by staff that I would definitely be able to have my second child for here since I already had one go to the school. So now my second child will not get an education and fall further behind till he goes to kindergarten. Daycare is way to expensive or I would put him in a center but due to my family being very poor we can't.
there's a lot of good people who work here and teach. however, there are some rude people. In most other schools you aren't late till the 2nd bell but as soon as the 1st bell rings they will take your children to the office and are rude to my girlfriend over 2 minutes. they aren't rude to her however when I show up with her which I have been lately just for that fact. This school gets money for each child registered at this school ,therefore, they need to stop acting ignorantly and have more appreciation for the fact parents are registering their kids at this school. If not for the children registered none of them would have jobs there.
