Cheryl and the Toybox team are amazing! From last year Day one touring the place, they made us feel so comfortable. Cheryl and the staff are not only staff, but they become family to the kids. My daughter is not easy in the mornings at drop off and they have so much patience. They talk to her and really get on her level to make her feel better. Cheryl is referred to as “Mimi” and that’s exactly what she is. My daughter feels safe there and she flourishes. They have been so accommodating and I’m so glad to have my daughter there for another great year!

I had a really bad experience with this daycare. First of all , My son just started Oct.13th of 2025 and I told her before he started that this was his first time being in a daycare setting , he was nonverbal , and has a hard time focusing sometimes. I asked was it going to be a problem before we even got the process started I was told yes.Two weeks after him starting they mentioned the early intervention and we went through that process. Every day I was asked by them how it went like relax! The people basically tried to put him through the BPS (Bridgeton Public Schools) but they told me it would take 90 days if not less to figure how they want to go about it! Would you believe Cheryl hounded me every single day about it and because she didn’t get him basically moved out of her class , my baby was kicked out because she doesn’t have the funds to keep him for the 90 days after not even being there for 6 months and I’m paying out of pocket . They have no patience for kids that are delayed and that Cheryl lacks empathy for anyone! I wouldn’t dare send anybody here again.

Excepcional school, both my girls went to this school and I was sad when they had to change school, I wish they could of stayed longer! Cheryl & staff became family over the years , once my youngest is old enough to start school will be enrolling her! When enrolling your child don’t hesitate to reach out when the new school year starts, you won’t be disappointed!

I had a very disappointing experience with this daycare. When I went to enroll my son, the woman in charge told me she could not accept him because she “didn’t know him.” She went as far as to insinuate that my son might have special needs, which is completely false and very offensive considering she has never even met him before. What made the situation worse is that she accepted other children after me, even though I had come first. The whole interaction felt judgmental, unprofessional, and unfair. As a parent, I expect respect and honesty, not assumptions or baseless comments about my child. I would not recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a safe and welcoming environment for their children. - Shakira Still
