What Parents Say
Touch Hearts Christian Center receives overwhelmingly positive reviews, with parents praising the staff's dedication, Christian curriculum, and individualized learning approaches. One parent reported a negative experience involving harsh teacher behavior and inadequate supervision during a 2-week enrollment. The facility appears to have strong academic outcomes and family-focused programming.
I’ve contemplated writing this review for a while, I hate leaving bad reviews, but feel parents should know. I had 2 of my young children at this daycare (ages 1and 3) for just 2 weeks before I knew they needed out. My 3 year old never liked going to daycare, but he loathed going to this daycare. One day I dropped him off and he was crying and clinging to me, the pastor and assistant director tried to calm me and say they’d take care of him. The assistant director pulled him out of my arms and the pastor said he’d be fine. I went to drop my baby off downstairs, and instead of leaving downstairs like they asked me specifically to, I went back upstairs to go make sure my son calmed down. I wasn’t even to the same floor yet when I heard the teacher yelling and berating my son from across the church. I waited down the hall to get a feel for the situation. The yelling went on for several minutes. I went into the classroom and the teacher had my son at the front of the room yelling at him and wagging her finger in his face while he was sobbing for crying in front of the whole classroom. The pastor and assistant director were in the next room scrolling their phones letting it happen after assuring me to my face that they’d take care of him. I grabbed both my kids that day and never went back. During the 2 weeks there, my drop ins outside of normal hours were repeatedly strongly discouraged, half the time I could barely get in if it was middle of the day, maybe because of outdated technology but I have to wonder if also intentional. The baby teachers did seem really nice, but baby rooms were almost daily under staffed such as 1 teacher to 8 babies I counted once. Babies would be put in walkers and swings and kept there all day long. Ive let months go by before writing this review making sure I wasn’t writing out of anger, but the fact that there are a whole slew of 5 star reviews exactly 6 months ago seems very orchestrated. I do hope that my situation was a one off unusual experience, I like to think that a church daycare is a loving place for children to spend their days when parents have to work, but I’d quit my job in a heartbeat before sending my kids back to this place.
I sincerely appreciate the incredible support this school has provided my son, especially during his potty training journey. The patience and dedication shown by the staff have played a significant role in his development. His writing skills and manners have improved remarkably since he began attending, and I’m truly grateful for the teachers who have worked closely with him. I’d also like to thank pastor Lacy for consistently offering him kind and encouraging words. As he prepares to begin kindergarten, he will carry with him the lessons and love he received here and will surely miss everyone who has been a part of his educational journey.
We couldn’t be happier with our experience at this school! I have a Pre-K 4 and a Pre-K 3 child, and both of them absolutely love going every day. My son struggled at his last school and it took nearly three months for him to feel comfortable, so I was nervous when we had to find a new daycare after his previous one closed due to staffing issues. But after just one week here, he completely fell in love with his teacher and has been excited to go ever since. The curriculum is fantastic…engaging, thoughtful, and focused on real learning. My daughter is thriving and comes home each day having learned something new. The teachers keep things fun and are always planning activities the kids actually enjoy. We feel incredibly lucky to have found this school!
I so love this school - My two children are enrolled. School provides Solid Christian foundation reenforcing Parents teaching about Christ. Educational wise - my 4 year old is reading. my 3 year old counts up to 60 and knows the alphabet (without singing it). Thoroughly impressed with this school and the Staff. You can’t go wrong!
My kids have attended TouchHeart since infancy and continue to attend their after school program. It is a family friendly daycare center that is focused on enriching the children to their full potential. The staff goes above and beyond any set expectations as they are able to curate education plan that fits the kids individually (and trust me I had 4 going through with different personalities). I will always be grateful for them. They are providing a helping hand to parents in need, and trying to figure out ways to help the community via different programs (example:Jacob’s ladder, or parents night out)
