What Parents Say
TLC Kids receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from most parents, who praise the caring staff, clean facilities, and developmental progress of their children. However, two negative reviews raise serious safety concerns, including inadequate supervision leading to multiple bites on a toddler and overcrowding with insufficient staffing.
TLC Kids is a wonderful preschool. I have had my daughter enrolled since she was fifteen months and now turning four. I love the relationship the teachers have with us parents. My daughter always comes home knowing something new or singing a song she learned. I really love the staff I know they really care about my daughter.
I had to take a child there for about 4-5 months that we were taking care of temporarily and at TLC kids, the staff went above and beyond to help me out. They were lenient with the payments, gave me time to get her shot records, were caring and gentle to our needs and made sure we had everything we needed by even giving us resources. They also took very good care of the little girl in our custody and she looked forward to going there every day. I highly recommend this daycare.
My son Ethan has been going to TLC Kids for about 2 years now and I couldn't ask for a better place for my child to be. All of the teachers are wonderful!! They always keep it clean which is a plus!! My son gets along well with the teachers. I have 3 children and I have been to 3 different day cares and this one by far has been the best!! Thank you for your service 😀
The ladies working on the nursing room are amazing, they took really good care of my baby, we are very thankful for TLC kids
If I could give zero stars, I would. We took our child out of this school after discovering 5 deep bites that had broken my child's skin. There was an incident report filed for one bite, but they had somehow not noticed the rest of them. The biting child must have been left alone with my son for some time for these very deep bites to have been made, and it is obvious that the providers were not paying adequate attention to my child. He must have been screaming. After further research (aka, discussing the situation with other mothers), I also discovered that there happened to be a biter in my son's class that was a *known* biter, yet nothing had been done to remedy the situation. Biting happens at the toddler age range, so that part does not concern me as much as the fact that a) the known voter was not being appropriately shadowed, and b) that the severity and quantity of these bites was even possible given that providers should always be cognizant of what occurs in their classroom. Anything can happen in a minute, let alone three or five. How can you ignore a child's cries? I hate leaving negative reviews, but this should be known. It also should be known that after my complaints, TLC did make an effort to make their parents aware of biting and how it happens--however, the blame cannot fully lie on the parent. I don't blame the biting child's parents for this circumstance; I blame TLC for not keeping my child safe.
