T.L.C. Day Care Center

Not enough words to describe how much my family loves TLC!!! My son first started in September two times a week, as I was scared to make the jump doing a program full-time, but I can't express how wonderful the staff is. Jon answered all my 100-plus questions and made me feel comfortable and is still super responsive to any questions or concerns we may have. He accommodates schedule changes too as long as I ask in advance, which is such a great thing if a holiday lands on a day that my son attends. Ms. Alex is my son's current teacher in toddler class, and she is spectacular. Her patience with me as a working, first-time mom, always making sure to answer me while she is dealing with 12 other kids... and the most important, my son absolutely loves it and loves the teachers. He is learning and growing so fast, and I believe it has a lot to do with the program and all they do with them. They're super engaging and always doing fun activities/celebrating holidays and birthdays. TLC has become a second home for us, and I love them truly!!! We will definitely be adding more days a week and continuing with them as long as we can.

I have three kids at TLC on Merrick Ave, and I truly couldn’t be happier. The staff cares for my children like they’re their own, and that means everything. Every day feels welcoming, supportive, and full of love, more like family than a childcare center. I’m so grateful for the amazing team who makes my kids feel safe, happy, and at home. Our family has been part of the TLC Brookside community since my son was just 18 months old, and now, as he approaches his 4th birthday, I can truly say this center has played an incredible role in his growth and development. Choosing TLC Brookside was one of the best decisions we’ve made for our child. From the very beginning, the staff has been nothing short of wonderful—kind, patient, supportive, and truly invested in every child’s success. The center is in a great location and has a strong family-oriented atmosphere that makes you feel welcomed the moment you walk through the doors. One of the things I appreciate most is the great communication with the staff. I always feel informed and involved in my son’s daily experience, which gives me such peace of mind. I genuinely feel safe leaving my child in their care, knowing he is being loved, supported, and protected. The environment at TLC Brookside is clean, spacious, and filled with toys and learning materials that encourage exploration and creativity. There is always something engaging happening, making it a truly fun and exciting place for children to learn and grow. My son has learned so much academically, socially, and emotionally, and I see the progress every day. The center is also very accommodating, always willing to work with families and support individual needs. I especially love that I’m able to walk my son directly to his classroom and drop him off myself each morning—it makes our transitions smooth and comforting. The summer program is another highlight, packed with fun activities that keep the children excited and engaged while still learning and growing. TLC Brookside truly feels like an extension of our family. We are so grateful for the love, care, and dedication they show every day, and we wholeheartedly recommend TLC Brookside to any family looking for a safe, nurturing, and enriching childcare experience.

We started TLC Merrick Ave about a year and a half ago and I could not be more pleased. My children are treated like family and feel comfortable with all the teachers-even if not their own. It has a small community feel and honestly the teachers are so amazing and kind. We are very happy with our choice.

TLC has been such a big part of our lives for the past few years. Now I have two kids attending. The level of care and attentiveness provided is top notch.They have set the bar pretty high in terms of childcare. Both my kids love going and have been thriving!
