The Early Head Start program isn't an environment that you want to bring your children too. The 2 year old classroom believe that children should transition into the program in stress. The director of the program is so nice that the teachers do not support any of the parents wishes. The teacher refused to meet with me to discuss a plan and my very verbal two year old said he did not like his teachers. I do not trust them and I wonder about their lack of compassion and care and how the emotionally connect with children, which research shows needs caregivers who are warm and patient.
Through The Looking Glass helped me during the first few months of my daughter‘s life. The OT helped me parent with a physical disability by teaching me how to use adaptive equipment that Looking Glass provided. I highly recommend this organization to parents with disabilities if all kinds.
