I just have to say that this facility has been absolutely amazing. From Mrs.Tori and Mrs.Heidi, who are my 1 year olds teachers, to Mrs.Marsha and Mr.Anthony. They all love on my daughter and also my son, who is autistic and does not even attend the school. The staff always makes a point to acknowledge his presence and make him feel special. Mrs.Marsha even sits with my son while I am getting his sister ready and watches videos about flags (his choice). The ENTIRE staff is incredible. I can not say enough good things about the wonderful, caring, and genuine people that work at this location. We are truly blessed to be part of the sunshine family!
So I signed my son up for this daycare about over a month ago I explained to the director, Miss, Marsha and Anthony about my son and his autism. I also explained to them that I needed daycare immediately she has been shuffling her feet. She doesn’t return call she doesn’t give updates. She doesn’t even remember who I am but I’m sure this Google review will allow you to never forget me. Miss Marsha is very sad that you have no sense of urgency when it comes to this job and making sure that children wear autism are accommodated forI provided you with all of the information that you need it and not once that I get a call back not once. Did you follow up about my concerns? When I asked you to transfer my son‘s IEP information to the other sunshine house you just said OK as if it’s one less thing you have to do. I don’t even want my son to go to the school anymore, but it’s very sad how in the Google reviews the school says autism friendly but then you just slap autistic children on the waiting list and put them on the back burner and never return a call. How do not call today you have even called Miss Marsha. Your careless tone for my situation really disturbed me today so I I want parents who have autistic children to know don’t waste your time with this lady. She’s gonna slap your child on the waiting list and you’ll never hear from her again claiming that she’s waiting for someone to review your child’s IEP and never return your call when I called the other sunshine house. Miss Penni was very helpful. She actually gave me the regional person number, but if I have to call a regional manager to get assistance. I don’t even want my child to attend this day daycare. If you’re looking for a daycare for y’all autistic child please keep looking and bypass this one my son never attended the daycare and he’s probably still on the waiting list. This is sad, especially for parents that are in desperate need of a daycare for their autistic children.
My son is a current student at this Sunshine House location, and we love it! He started when he was 11 months old and as a first-time mom, I was very nervous and anxious as he had been with family the first 11 months of his life! The staff at the Sunshine House took him in and treated him like family, from day 1! We love Ms. Tori and Ms. Kacy in the infant room as they were our introduction into the center. They truly care for each of those infants, like they are their own! He is now in the toddler room with Ms. Lashanta and Ms. Patrina and they are just a good! The activities, various learning techniques and engagement he receives in this room is great. Watching him grow and learn new things (each day and week) since he moved to this room has been so fun to watch as a parent. I love how involved the director and assistant directors are with the children and parents. It truly means something when they know you by name and your children. We have been very blessed at this center and would highly recommend it to others!
This daycare is a wonderful place. My children have been attending this daycare ever since my first daughter was an infant. We have built great relationships over the years with the teachers and Ms. Marsha who goes above and beyond to make sure the kids are happy. She is also very diligent and understanding, just the kind of person you need to be managing a daycare. When we had difficulties paying on time she talked and worked with us, and I am eternally grateful for that because times are hard financially for a lot of us. The staff are nice as well, very patient. I will say you can’t control the kind of children that attend, but they do a great job of juggling the different needs of the kids. Highly recommend this center.
I am a first time mom and sending my infant son to daycare made me and my husband a nervous wreck. But Ms. Tory and Ms. Kacy have been amazing. They take great care of my infant son and have helped both me and my husband with practical daily tools to use as new parents. I honestly don't know where I would be without them. Ms. Tory has also been so kind and helps with tips and tricks to use when we are at home. I trust her as much as I trust my own pediatrician. I'm so thankful my son attends this center.
