What Parents Say
The Smart Center receives mixed reviews with ratings ranging from 1 to 5 stars. Positive reviews highlight dedicated, caring staff who provide individualized attention and help children develop academically and socially. Negative reviews cite concerns about staff behavior, classroom management issues, and billing practices.
As a mother of four children, ranging in age from 1 to 19, I can proudly say that all of my kids have either attended or currently attend The Smart Center—and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with their care. When my 4-year-old started, he struggled with counting and recognizing letters. Thanks to Ms. Lanette, who is not only an amazing teacher but someone who genuinely cares about the kids, he now writes his name, counts up to 49, and even knows about important historical figures. I’m so proud of how far he’s come! My 1-year-old son has Ms. Mia, and he absolutely loves her. He’s already identifying colors, and I’ve noticed a huge improvement in his vocabulary—it's growing every single day. The entire staff is incredible. Ms. C, Ms. Cheri, and Ms. Sadequa are always warm, welcoming, and attentive. While each child has their individual teachers, all of the staff step in and care for the kids like family. Mr. Hopskin is another standout—he makes morning drop-offs seamless and is a positive male role model for my sons. The Smart Center goes above and beyond with events that introduce the children to different cultures and new experiences. It’s more than just a daycare—it’s a place where children are loved, nurtured, and given a strong foundation. I truly feel like I’m leaving my kids with family every day, and for that, I’m forever grateful
The center is a bit better but the other place at island Avenue is a hell too much kids put older kids with the little kids. Add more money to your co- payments. Aliyah is so rude very disrespectful hell at the parents in front of the children. Am reporting everything I see at the center to ccis with prove
Worst company to put , your child in the hands of! Please do not send your kids here. If you love them, they will be better off where the people actually care.
My daughter loved this place and looked forward to going there. I’m assuming they permanently closed due to covid but I’m not sure.
Great staff
