What Parents Say
The School for Creative Learning receives mixed reviews with significant concerns. While some parents report positive experiences with staff communication and their children's happiness, multiple parents cite serious issues including inadequate staffing ratios, poor facility maintenance, lack of toys, and unprofessional management responses to concerns.
Racist sums it up in one word(read below)! They dont watch the children in their care, they let staff members bring their children over the age limit like 16 who are sick and sit in classrooms with 6-8 year olds. In the 6-8 year old they have 15-20 kids with one teacher, the kids over run the teacher. I talked several times with the daycare director about what was going on, she explained she would have more teachers hired, it has been 3 months and no new teachers were hired. They take no consideration is parents feelings or thoughts, see more below. So while dropping off my girls at daycare today, i seemed to get a bad feeling about this guy walking around the grounds. So when backing out, i called to see who this guy was. I described him as a black man with dreadlocks a grey shirt and black shorts. I was told he is the daycare owners son. I stated i dont care, what is he doing there. The daycare director copped an attitude and said he is her nephew. Again i asked what is he doing there. He looks suspicious to me, he didnt look like a parent. In other words, it was a nice way of saying he looked homeless. She proceeded to ask me what does a parent look like? I answered im not sure but i didnt like the feeling i got so i called to see who he was. She then proceeded to say because hes black n had dreadlocks, i felt unsafe. The conversation continued to go on why i felt threatened because he was black. I denied the whole thing because of his color. I then hung up, then a few hours later the daycare owner, the mother of the son, called. Asking me questions and telling me it was wrong for me to call because the daycare is 95% populated of black. Every time i started talking she cut me off, so i hung up. I called the daycare and again the same nonsense about me racist or hating him because him because he was black. The daycare director said ur concern was considered to be a daycare problem until i said black and it became personal to her. So i was called racist 3 times today. So word toI the wise, never take ur children or family member to SCHOOL FOR CREATIVE LEARNING if u r white, u will be called racist if u describe any male as black or describe any male since 95% of their population is black! My children no longer go to this daycare
+Elizabeth Southard, based on what you described here racist is exactly what you sound like. I too am Caucasian. My children have attended The School For Creative Learning for 3 years and I have had a wonderful experience with the school. My children love it!
This place is a joke!! For the life of me I cant understand how this place is open. They have no toys for the kids..everything they have is broken pieces of toys. when asked about the toys the director said- These kids tear up everything, so this is all they get! They feed the kids out of sand pails like animals! The bathrooms smell like a porta potty on a construction site!! Poorly ran!!! All the daycares out here...why would you take your kid to this ghetto rat trap!! Dont believe me...go visit
The staff make feel comfortable knowing my children are there. Communication is great. They really look out for my kids.
Very unprofessional!!! Nothing but aot of attitudes && its disgusting. My kids will no longer attend this hot mess of a school next year.
