Just dropped by to let the grandkids play on the field on Sherrydale..nobody was out there. I was approached by a lady I assumed worked there and was told that field was private property. I assured her we would only be out there for minute. She then directed me to another park which is about a mile away. That sucks
As a long-time community member who regularly donates to the Salvation Army, helps maintain the neighborhood by picking up trash, and always cleans up after my pets, I was very disappointed by my experience at this particular location today. My husband and I stopped by the open field near our home to let our dogs get a few minutes of fresh air before sunset. Shortly after arriving, we were approached by an older bald man who informed us that the field was for Salvation Army use only. I was surprised to hear this, as there are no posted signs indicating restricted access, and the gate remains open at all hours. In the years I’ve lived here, the field is rarely used for organized activities — when it is occupied, it’s often after hours and not supervised. It is the usual group of teenagers shooting off guns, smoking, and trashing the field. As someone who values respect and cleanliness in our shared spaces, I take pride in maintaining the community and expected the same level of courtesy in return. Unfortunately, this experience has changed my perception of this location and its leadership. I will no longer be donating to the Salvation Army and will be sharing my experience with others in the community.
Today was my first time visiting the food pantry. Not only it wasn’t crowded… the wait time was minimum…the staff was great they even helped me shop and load up my car. I will be coming back . Thank you so much very thankful & blessed to have organizations like these!!!
This is a great place. I wish I would have did this years ago, but I wasn't aware of reviews back when I came here for help. The person who help me was so gracious and passionate about her job. She was a life saver.
Love this place. Wonderful after school program for ages 6 and up. There's always something positive happening here. Events for the community, outreach programs, workshops, national winning cheer competition team, track team, soccer, football and list goes on and on. Pretty much anything you can think off. Most importantly Mr. Gio and his staff are such a joy! Much love!!!
