The Roane School

We moved from the North to Destin, FL two years ago, and our little one has been attending school here since then. In addition to God blessing us with an amazing new place to live, I truly believe that Stepping Stone and its team have been an incredible part of God’s care over our family. They are amazing. I work with peace of mind knowing that love, attention, care, and growth are being poured into my child when I’m not around. I’m truly grateful, and honestly, five stars are not enough — I love this school.

An awesome facility with great teachers. Shea is one of the best we have ever had. Our kids love her. She is so kind and caring to our littles. They recently hired a new lady named Heather. Luckily, she got fired almost immediately. Very rude lady. The kids were so scared of her. She minded me of that teacher in the movie Matilda. All the kids picked up quickly to avoid her. We are so fortunate that the administrative staff took quick action to remove her. Hopefully, she doesn't end up in someone else's school.

This school discriminates against children with autism. They are unsympathetic and cruel.. They did not make my son feel comfortable while we were trying to tour the facility, and basically cheered when we decided to leave. They don’t deserve money or success. Do not bring your children here!

I owe a lot to this school and its staff. We took placement of 3 small girls through foster care and quickly realized we were in over our heads. The director and teachers at Roane School have been incredibly helpful to not only provide a consistent learning environment but a genuine interest in the well-being of our children. They have come along side of us and helped us be better parents, working with us as part of our "team" throughout our placement and into adoption. I cannot express how grateful I am for the investment they have made into our family. I felt like challenges were addressed appropriately, plans were put in place to help with behavioral issues that we often saw surface as the children were navigating difficult seasons in life. Beth and teachers exhibited professional judgment, offered choices and consistently gave grace to love our children through their challenges. I whole-heartedly say I could not have done this without their support. Our girls have thrived in this school, built relationships and love their teachers. It is a fun learning environment that is always seeking what is in the best interest of the children. Miss Beth is a hoot! She runs a tight ship but I appreciate her commitment to professionalism and safety.

My 2 year old daughter has been at this daycare for 1 month. So far, she has developed a better eating habit and better social skills. She does a lot more than she would at home with all the activities they have planned including all the fun arts and crafts she gets to take home. I absolutely love her teacher, Ale. She is great and always gives us a great update of our daughter's day (foods she ate, sleeping habits, restroom updates, etc). So great, that when we tried to pull our daughters hair up in a ponytail, she said she waned Ale to do it. LOL Ale has made our daughters first transition into a daycare am easy and wonderful time.
