The Pumpkin Patch

We absolutely love The Pumpkin Patch Preschool and could not imagine a better place for our twins. From day one, Margie and her daughter Jill have made us feel like family. The love they pour into this place is so evident, and it shows in every interaction. Our twins are genuinely loved here. The communication is excellent, which gives us such peace of mind, and the facility is always spotless—it not only looks clean, it smells clean, and it’s bright, cheerful, and welcoming every single day. We’re always greeted with big smiles, and one of my favorite moments is pickup. When they bring my kids up to the front, they walk down the aisle like little celebrities…every single teacher knows them by name. My children reach out for hugs from the teachers without hesitation, and that alone tells me everything I need to know about how safe, secure, and loved they feel. Sending our children here brings us so much comfort. Knowing they are cared for so deeply makes all the difference, and I truly couldn’t imagine not having a place like The Pumpkin Patch to send our kids. We are beyond grateful for Margie, Jill, and the entire staff for loving our children as if they were their own. Highly, highly recommend 💕

As a first time Mom, I was incredibly stressed when trying to pick a daycare- but I’m so glad that we found Pumpkin Patch. My husband and I went 6 months before our due date (so 10 months from when she would start) to visit and take a look around. Margie, the owner, was so kind and even stayed open late to accommodate my husband and I. We knew instantly that Pumpkin Patch would be the best place for our daughter immediately after seeing it, and luckily we secured a spot! They’re pricing is very reasonable, and their rooms are very clean and organized. Leading up to her start date, Margie was very flexible with me about her start date, answering emails and patient as I was getting the hang of what I would need daily (while stressing... because again- new Mom!). Now, since my daughter has started attending this past June (at 4 months old), we are so put an ease that she is so looked after and cared for. Margie and her daughter Jill are so wonderful at answering any questions and never make me once feel like a silly new-Mom about it. The staff is equally as fantastic, always sending photos and updates and a brief little “she did great today” comments during pick-up. It’s also relieving to know that while I'm at work, she’s being socialized, learning new things daily and that she can continue develop in her milestones while in great hands. They have fun events/themes, and most of all you can tell how much the other kids love coming when you see them walk through the door and immediately go running back to their teachers/care-givers. I was heartbroken (but at the same time- thrilled) that after a day or so, my daughter was smiling and so willing to jump in the arms of Margie/Jill and her other caregivers during drop off- but it goes to show how much she already enjoys being there. I can’t recommend Pumpkin Patch enough to anyone in the area. As I said above, we are so beyond happy with Margie and her team!

I absolutely love this school. I have been affiliated with them for many years. The Director Margie is great to work with, she listens to any concerns and works with you to address them which is very important to me. The staff at the Pumpkin Patch are really a good bunch of people to deal with. Most of them have been there awhile, which says a lot about any pre-school. You can feel comfortable sending your baby or child here and be assured they are in good hands with the staff.

I’d like to take a minute to write a review on the Pumpkin Patch in Hackettstown where my son Arrow has attended for coming on two years now . I’m giving this rating 5 stars because that is the maximum, but deserves 10 . I want to fist address the owner Margie . Margie is a very kind , well spoken and knowledgeable daycare owner who always has a smile on her face and answers your questions or concerns personally when you have a question. Every morning when Arrow is dropped off she is there greeting the parents and never rushes you out the door . Jill works there too, and she is Margie’s daughter and you can tell right away as she shares the same qualities as her mother. Let’s address the cleanliness of this place! I will honestly say I have never seen a cleaner daycare in my life , or a place that never had an unpleasant smell or a bad day . The teachers here are all excellent people who take the time to send you nice pictures during the day on the brightwheel ap , and also answer you immediately if you have any questions or concerns. I have forgotten things, many things including lunch a couple times in the last two years . They never made me feel stupid , they just took care of it and always have extras there and don’t nickel and dime you for things . It’s odd to honestly say in two years I have zero complaints. If you’re looking to leave your child due to work, or socializing this is the place . I highly recommend The Pumpkin Patch and this place will always remain in my childhood memories and milestones for my boys . Thankyou for being such an incredible facility and I’m so happy I chose your place over any other I was looking at . Shout out to Miss Dina who has been exceptional and a teacher of favorite for my son . I never felt bad leaving him because of the interaction these women have with children. They treat these kids like their own !

This daycare is great. The owner Margie is amazing! She's very honest and easy going. They make sure everything works for you and your child. The teachers are amazing, especially Sharon who is the teacher for the baby room. She's an expert at reassuring new moms dropping their kids off for the first time. If there is any kind of problem it's handled efficiently and quickly. My son loves it there so much when I go to pick him up he doesn't want to leave!!
