Bierman is truly the best decision a special needs parent could make. Our son has been receiving services for 3-4 years and is getting ready to transition out of Bierman in the next year which will be very sad. He enjoys going to therapy every single day. Bierman runs a tight ship with all of the staff you can tell they set high expectations, communication is great, and Bierman is very transparent about everything they do. We had one minor issue at one point we voiced concern about it and the problem was solved in less than 36 hours with full explanation.
Our daughter has been receiving services for the last 4 months and the progress she’s made has been incredible. She really enjoys attending the clinic and refers to it as “school”. The staff is very respectful and professional. They ensure that we as parents feel seen. High collaboration with us as well as our daughter’s SLP as she is receiving outside services for speech.
The parent training is about asking me questions about my child. I guess they need that to write their report. How is that helpful to us? I would expect if they really spend effort in getting to know my child, they would already have answers. All the time I hear from them is my kid is making great progress until they want to push for more services and then it becomes my kid is not making enough progress. Things can be hard for family with autistic child, and center like this who cares more about business and less about well being of customers would only make things worse
Amazing Place. Please do not let the ABA label scare you off, this is not a place that does the old fashioned ABA therapy, everyone working here is great and allow for autonomy, are understanding, never try to "change" who my kid is, simply tries to help them be successful and happy as an autistic person. I've literally watched as they have given my child play-based therapy and they are careful to consider my child's interests and limits. The communication here is great, you as the parent have the option to accept or veto any sort of therapeutic treatment. My child's communication and social skills have DRASTICALLY improved since coming here. Really feels like we are part of a "family" I know that sounds cheesy, but I feel my child is understood and accepted here. I have never felt like a number here, and I feel both me and my child are respected here.
