The Oak School

My son has been attending The Oak School since he was 4 months old. He is now about to turn 4 years old. The staff members of The Oak School are so dedicated to molding our little ladies and gentlemen into caring, interactive and attentive individuals. They never cease to amaze me. They are consistent and hold their facilities up to a high standard at all times. What's even more notable is the menu of healthy food that is served to the little ones. The Oak School is the epitome of what a perfect Daycare/Pre-school should be.

I am so pleased to update my review of The OakSchool. My son has now been enrolled since 2008 and is starting pre-k this past week. I can't say enough about our wonderful experience over the past couple of years. Coming from a first time mother who was panicked at the thought of childcare centers, it has been a true BLESSING! My son has absolutely flourished in this environment. My continued support of the staff should speak volumes. THEY ARE WONDERFUL! I can call anytime (and feel welcomed to) and can still view him anywhere in the building via webcam. I would still give it 6 stars!

Do not send little ones here. My 18 month old was not helped transition into the program. The teacher that she was first placed with is clueless about child development and how to interact properly with young toddlers. I saw the teacher yelling at 2 children one day for expectations beyond their current cognitive capacity. My daughter was just empty and exhausted when I picked her up the third week...things were getting worse. She was so traumatized by her first few weeks with this teacher, but administration was very helpful in switching her classroom, though her belongings were left in the first classroom and I saw the first teacher still when I went to pick her up. Things seemed to be getting better, but I was told she "wasn't a good fit" after an additional 2 weeks. My daughter went for a total of 5 weeks, for only 2 days a week, and was not helped to transition in. Then I was left high and dry for childcare on a Thursday. I was told she could continue going there until I found new care, but can a parent really send their child back to a place like this? She cries as soon as she gets out of the car (but has been find in other childcare settings).
