The Nest Academy

I can't say enough great things about this school. It's an all around academy that pays attention to every detail. From the moment you walk in, you can see how clean and well-organized it is.They have excellent lesson plans for ages 3 and above and do an excellent job of mixing play and learning to engage students although they start from 0 months. The classes are split into different age groups with their own curriculum. Their activities are all tied into learning. In my opinion it's one of the top early childhood development schools in the area after having visited a few prior to selecting Nest Academy. The staff members are very caring and nurturing, They go and above and beyond to make sure every childs' needs are met with patience and understanding. They take pride in providing a safe, healthy and learning environment. I feel comfortable leaving my child there and coming to pick my child up knowing they have learned something. This is not your typical daycare. They care! A lot! It's everything wrapped up into this magnificent place. I am very grateful we were able to find this school. Shout out to all the staff members that work there. You are amazing! And the Bensoudas do an excellent job directing this place. If you're on the fence go for it, you won't regret it.

We absolutely loved our experience at Nest Academy Early Learning Center in Lorton. Both of my daughters thrived there and looked forward to going to school each day. The teachers are exceptional—nurturing, dedicated, and truly passionate about early childhood education. They built strong, loving connections with my girls and helped spark a genuine excitement for learning. Thanks to their support and high-quality instruction, both of my daughters left Pre-K reading and fully prepared for kindergarten. The learning environment at Nest is warm, structured, and incredibly supportive. It’s clear that the staff put a lot of thought and care into creating a place where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to grow. As a parent, that peace of mind is everything. The front office team is also kind—responsive and compassionate. We always felt supported and heard, which made our experience even more positive. One of the highlights of this past year was the wonderful family events hosted by the school. From a student play to a Mother’s Day celebration and a memorable end-of-year graduation, the effort and care that went into these events made them truly special for both children and families. We are so grateful for our time at Nest Academy and highly recommend it to any family looking for an exceptional early learning experience.

When we moved to Lorton from MN and were disappointed in another nearby preschool we found this FAMILY run business to be EXACTLY what we needed for our newborn + 2 YO. They give Structure, comfort, care and provided healthy food! They’re complete pros and I don’t know what we’d have done without them. Five full stars.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at The Nest Academy! Our first experience with this daycare was in 2021 when our then 2 year old started in full time care. We were a new military family in the area and I was nervous that the transition from her previous daycare to this one would be difficult for my daughter. That couldn't have been further from what actually happened. From the owner Ms. Juliette to the Director Mr. Sahm to her first teacher Ms. Aheen, every person did a WONDERFUL job keeping us in the loop and making Blair feel comfortable, happy, and well adjusted. She continued on into the 3's and 4's classes with Ms. Rachida, Ms. Hina, and Ms. Saroj and this was the class / age where we really started seeing her academic career come to life. One day she was sitting in the car and all of the sudden counted to 100, said her entire alphabet with the phonetic sounds, and recited colors in spanish and counting in french. I couldn't believe my ears! Our children are little sponges and it's so very important to introduce them to a rich curriculum from a young age, because they are eager to learn! She just graduated from the Nest Academy with a fantastic year spent in Miss Amelia's Pre-K class. I could go on and on about ALL of the teachers at the Nest Academy and how kind and loving they are. My daughter just entered Kindergarten and her teacher said she can tell which students come from The Nest Academy because they are so prepared. I do believe young children need to have ample play time and I know for a fact that they foster creative play as well. My second daughter has been attending The Nest now for the last 2 years and couldn't be happier. She runs into the school every day eager to give Miss Hina a hug and is always talking about what she's learning with Ms. Rachida and Miss Saroj. They promote a nurturing environment that allows the children to blossom. She has learned so many new skills and is making many friends. If you're looking for a daycare that feels like a family, this is the place to come. I feel very comfortable knowing my children are in good hands and being taken care of by people who love them and want the best for them. We're so grateful to have found such a fantastic place for our children to grow and thrive! I highly recommend to any parent looking for a trustworthy and loving daycare where your children will not only be taken care of but will be learning many new things that will set them up for success in their academic journey.

My only regret is we didn't start sooner! My son attended camp at the Nest prior to starting kindergarten. Though it was only a few months, he learned more than he ever did at two other preschool centers in Lorton. He not only learned skills like sight reading and sign language, but he learned so much about the structures that would be in place in kindergarten. The transition from the Nest to kindergarten has been great- I truly believe it is because of the care they gave him and the boundaries they held. We planned on sending my daughter as well, but a late change to her IEP modified our plans. Despite unenrolling her from the Nest with very notice, the management took the time to understand our situation and did not penalize us for the late withdraw. They truly care about children and do everything they can do support. We are forever grateful!
