The school is noted for its authentic Montessori approach and inclusive community values.
Our child went to this school for 6 years and we’ve never felt more supported by such kind and capable staff. Our child absolutely blossomed at this school. We left for one year to try a public Montessori but came right back, deciding the financial investment was worth it as our child was nowhere near as motivated, encouraged, or supported in the other school. The office staff, admissions staff, teachers, support staff, and head of school are all incredible and they take feedback to heart. We are eternally grateful for this school and the contributions they made to help make the fine young man our child is becoming. MSC greatly contributed to his emotional growth, self-motivation and self-esteem. I love the community and respect that the students and teachers have for one another. Also, let’s just say our family is non-traditional. MSC accepted us and supported us with open arms which reflects their values in every way. Thank you Montessori School of Columbia!
A wonderful school and community that truly focuses on the whole child. Our child has absolutely thrived here and we love the emphasis the school places on exposing students to global perspectives and a diversity of experiences. A calm, nurturing, supportive environment for all stages of development. We love MSC and couldn’t recommend it enough!
Admissions will advise your toddler is lacking in self monitoring behavior, but judging on her picture, she may want to work on self regulation herself... as a grown up. Very secretive and does not communicate appropriately to parents. Don't waste your time. She also is definitely not qualified to make that call on a child. This school is very sketchy. Not worth it.
Our child went to MSC for preschool and returned for grades 3-6. He was profoundly impacted by his education there, especially in terms of social and emotional growth. MSC nurtured his creativity and curiosity and he was surrounded by teachers and fellow students who are kind, empathetic, thoughtful, supportive and focused.
MSC is special. It's an amazing school with a caring, supportive community of staff, students, and parent. My child loves going to school and is well equipped the rest of his school days and a lifetime of learning.
