This is a great spot for families with children! We had a blast and the little ones really enjoyed themselves. Parking was super affordable, which is always a huge plus. On the downside, the gift shop was a bit on the pricier side for what they offered. Still, everything else about our visit was really enjoyable. We ended up spending well over two hours exploring everything. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a fun outing for the kids. Just maybe skip the gift shop unless you're prepared for the cost!

I recently had an amazing day in Miami and wanted to share my 5-star experience! First, my visit to the Miami Children’s Museum was fantastic. The museum has been refreshed not long ago, and it really shows. The exhibits are vibrant, interactive, and engaging for all ages. They’ve done an excellent job creating a fun and educational environment where kids can explore and learn through play. After the museum, I grabbed lunch at Subway, which was fresh and satisfying—a perfect quick bite to keep the day going. I also got to enjoy the Ice Arctic’s new presentation, which was truly impressive. The immersive visuals, including the Socks Sky feature, were awesome and memorable. Overall, the combination of the revamped museum, tasty lunch, and the stunning Ice Arctic presentation made for a perfect outing. 5 stars all the way!

Great places for toddlers and younger kids. Large overall space with various rooms and interactive exhibits in addition to creative programs throughout the day. Friendly staff. Lots of opportunities to interact with exhibits. Not overwhelmingly busy even on a Sunday earlier in the day. Parking is public at $2/hour.

My son likes coming here, but as the adult I have very mixed feelings. A big issue I have is there is barely anywhere to sit. They recently added some more benches, but they’re in the hallway areas. There’s nowhere to rest in most of the play areas. I’m pregnant and find myself sitting on the floor. Also the food. Subway, really? I don’t really want to feed my son the heavy metals and sugar bread here. They also don’t have any gluten free or vegetarian options? Not one. And THEY DO NOT SELL COFFEE. I wish they would have a healthy cafe that sold nice food, healthy food. I find it kind of insane this is the only food option here. We always pack a lunch. And while the staff is present and generally very friendly, I always see them putting away toys and never disinfecting anything. Sanitizing toys and play areas is just not on the radar for any of these places in Miami. Finally, none of the play areas are fenced in. At the Museum of Discovery and Science, many of the rooms have gates so the children can stay put in one area. I often times see moms fencing in areas with their strollers like in the picture. Do we really have to resort this? We can’t have any gates? Why? I’m happy this museum exists. We’re members. We need something like this in Miami. My son always has a good time here. But I don’t. It’s exhausting to be here.

Parking is $2/h, Subway is the only eating place. If you have energic child(ren), I recommend that you consider 4 hours staying. They have a mix of experiences like storytelling, dressing like a vet, a firemen, a cashier and many other options to play and interact with the kids. Kids under 12 months are free.
