What Parents Say
The Merit School of Clarendon receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from parents, with most praising the caring and professional staff, safe environment, and quality educational activities. Parents highlight engaging teachers, structured learning with play time, and strong communication. One parent reported a negative experience with the director's lack of follow-up during the initial enrollment process.
Staff is very friendly and caring. Staff follows proper procedures for safety. My student enjoys the learning activities and field trips. Mr. Carl and Mr. Yordy provide a wonderful experience. I cannot brag enough about the staff and center manager. They are all very professional and do a wonderful job at communicating as well as providing a great environment for the children here!
The teachers and staff are wonderful! I have 2 children at Merit School of Clarendon (ages 2 and 4). When I drop them off I know they are well taken care of and are learning so much from their teachers.
Our boys (kindergarten, grade 2) go to Merit for after-school care and it has been fantastic. When I pick the boys up, I am often greeted with a loud "No, let me finish...." The teachers are incredibly patient and provide a mixture of structured activities, play time, and educational support. Could not be more impressed.
I love walking into all the music and dancing children in the morning. I also appreciate the teachers reminding them to wash hands as they come in. Kudos to the staff!!! Will recommend to friends and family, keep up the good work.
The Director, Adama, scheduled my family for an initial phone call but then completely ghosted us. No call later to apologize. No email. Nothing. Pretty good sign for how disorganized the entire school is if the Director can't even show up for a phone call that she scheduled.. Also, for what it's worth, who does phone calls anymore?? Every other school we contacted offered virtual Zoom tours (and they all showed up!).
