The Malvern School of Downingtown has been an amazing place for our family. My son attended full time for four years—starting at 18 months old and finishing Pre-K at five—and our experience could not have been better. From the very beginning, I always felt confident leaving him in the care of the wonderful staff. I never had to worry, knowing he was in loving, capable hands. The teachers and directors are not only highly qualified, but also incredibly supportive and nurturing. They treated my son as if he were their own, and it showed in every interaction. Over the years, they’ve helped shape him into a kind, respectful, and confident little person. Their dedication to early childhood development is truly exceptional, and their warmth and care made a lasting impact on our lives. I wholeheartedly recommend The Malvern School of Downingtown to any parent looking for a safe, loving, and enriching environment for their child. We will truly miss them!

Our journey with The Malvern School of Downingtown has been a mix of learning and growth for both my child who may need extra learning support and for us as parents. One thing I’ve come to realize is that the teachers your child is paired with make all the difference in the experience. It took persistence and a fair amount of advocating on our part to ensure that our child was placed in a classroom where he could truly thrive. Once that adjustment was made, we saw an immediate and meaningful change. You can also imagine the added layer of anxiety that comes with raising a Black child in a predominantly white school community. It’s not always easy, and as a parent, that concern is always in the back of your mind The class with Ms. Pushpa and Ms. Breana has been nothing short of a blessing. Their patience, dedication, and ability to meet children where they are has brought so much progress and peace of mind. They go above and beyond, and that level of commitment makes a world of difference. I don’t believe any teacher here is bad at all but the reality is that some will go the extra mile in ways that matter deeply for a child’s growth. For parents considering Malvern, I’d encourage you to advocate for your child if something doesn’t feel right. With the right classroom fit, the school can be a very positive place for children to learn and prepare for their next step. AJ
