The Magnolia School & Child Care Center #3

I went to do a tour here to consider daycare services. Upon arrival the building looked very outdated/old and the entrance is rough. Once I got in I noticed the dirty floor it has not been swept. They have a small play area at the entrance and there was dirty tissues on the floor in there. My child would have been in the 3 year olds. When I asked about the teacher in there I was informed that one has been there 3 months and the other one has been there for only one month. The director did not offer to show me around other than the 3 year old classroom. Once we got into the 3 year old classroom the teacher in there did not engage with me or my child. I asked if they go outside and the director told me we are supposed to but we get around that bc it's too cold so the kids are not taken outside. Since I wasn't offered a full tour I asked to see the outside area she didn't look to happy to show me. She had me view the outside area from her office window. I was shocked to see the shape it was in. The steps on the slide area had rusted and there were no toys or anything out there, she said it's because they haven't been going outside. Although the state requires the children to go outside above 40° they do not take them out at all. On our way back up we passed the kitchen and I noticed rusted SOS pads around the kitchen sink. This daycare charges $175 a week that's such a high price for the condition it is in. I would not recommend it and I would not let my child go there at all even if it was cheaper. Also, they don't give a week vacation like all the other day cares. They only give 50% off so if you wanted to go on vacation with your child you would still have to pay that week.

Wonderful staff! Everyone is so informative and sweet my daughter has such a good time when she is there and it seems like everyone really cares for the children they are over! Over all I’m very happy with this day care!!
