Our daughter attended The Little School House from 2013 – 2015. The only reason we left was because we moved back to our home in Colorado. The Little School House has been an excellent experience for our daughter and for our whole family. Our daughter enrolled in the infant class at 4 months, and was lucky enough to stay with the same group of 6 kids through two more classrooms until she was a toddler. Even now, 6 months after leaving LSH, she talks about her teachers and her best friends from class fondly. We have so much quality artwork from her time there! We decorated our Christmas tree recently and put up many a Christmas ornament made by her and her teachers. We always felt comfortable dropping her off, knowing she was in good hands. All of her teachers were with the school for a long time. You can tell that the director Angelika really values her staff – this is important when choosing a daycare/school because you want the people with your child to feel valued in their work. I especially appreciate the staff's caring, flexibility, and passion for the kids. Communication was excellent and whenever we needed to handle transitions, interactions with other kids, making friends, etc, the feedback and interaction with Angelika was great and everybody was very responsive to changing needs. I've recommended The Little School House to several families and would not hesitate to do so in the future. We're sad to leave the school, but happy that she's made some great memories and great friends at Little School House and is so well prepared for the next step.
Great school. My son is so happy there, he doesn't want to leave when i pick him up. He comes home singing all the songs they learn in circle time. They teach math, do yoga and serve healthy food. They also have children's entertainers come in sometimes. The teachers are all sweet, and really spend time teaching the kids what they are supposed to do and how to behave toward their friends and teachers. The staff ensures that the environment is productive for all the children there. Not just a place to store your baby while you work.
The Little School House has been fantastic for our family. We have a special needs child who has done very well at The Little School House. Her teachers genuinely care about her well-being, and she speaks about her friends and her teachers daily. Meals and snacks at the daycare are nutritious and provided by a locally owned business (not contracted out to a mass provider). There is a small playground in the back and the kids go outside once or twice a day, weather permitting. There are dance days, music days, art days, and more. The owner is very hands on, and gets to know each child personally. One of our children is under two and had never experienced a day care environment. He had a tough time at first (as one would expect), but he eventually adjusted and is fine. We've been very pleased with our experience at The Little School House.
Our 4 of children all attended The Little School House over a 6 year period of time. We loved our time there. The staff became like extended family to us. The benefit of a small center is smaller class sizes and a very loving, intimate childcare experience. Our children thrived in that environment. We were constantly amazed with how much they were learning. And we met some great friends in the other parents at the school!
My 2-year old son attended the Little Schoolhouse for the last year+ and it has been a warm, nuturing environment for him. He's learned a lot and made great 'lil buddies in the process! I like that Little Schoolhouse is small and all of the kids get a lot of individual attention. Tthe teachers know each one of the kids and it's clear that both children and teachers are in a very supportive environment. I've been amazed by some of the creative art that's come home from such little hands! I would highly recommend Little Schoolhouse to any parents who want their child to get individual, personalized attention in a supportive environment focusing on learning and growth.
