The Little School At Duke

Our little one has been here for the last 6 months and the school is wonderful! The teachers are very sweet and gave us tons of confidence in trusting them with our child. The community seems awesome and I don't think we could be happier with the school.

My sister used to go here, and they said they supported all kids and would never expell anybody. 1 month later, they kicked her out, and lied about their policy. Unprofessional and cruel.

While we loved one of our teachers, the turn over at this school is ridiculous (our kid lost 7 teachers during her two years here). They sell themselves that they are superior for the area in childcare but have a very high teacher turnover rate and toxic culture (upper management- one of the owners literally told us during a parent meeting that they didn’t need to improve on communication and the entire meeting was about parents wanting more transparency). Our child is thriving almost a year later at a different daycare (same teachers with no turnover with good transparency, communication, and safety measures). If you’re a Duke employee stick with the bright horizons option. The owners have lost sight of their mission and are just in survival mode due to an unsustainable model.

We love the little school! It is the most magical place filled with the most caring teachers and staff.
