A Wonderful Start to Our Son's Early Years! Our son Hrishikesha was part of the Little Mud Puddles family from age 2 to 4, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to support his early growth and development. What initially drew us in was their play-based learning approach—something we truly value at this age, instead of overwhelming kids with academic pressure too early. From the very beginning, the warmth and personal attention from the staff stood out. Every teacher greeted each child by name with genuine affection, creating a nurturing and welcoming environment. The bond the teachers develop with the children is clearly visible, and we always felt confident that our son was in good hands. A special thank you to Ms. Vanessa and Ms. Tanya, who were his teachers during his first year. They played a crucial role in helping him transition smoothly into daycare life and made that big adjustment much easier for all of us. In his second year, Ms. Emily and Ms. Becki continued this wonderful care. A huge shoutout to Ms. Emily, who greeted Hrishikesha every morning with a big hug—something that made daily drop-offs so much smoother. She also guided him through potty training, encouraged him to try new foods, and supported his language development with such patience and care. The school is led by the ever-approachable Ms. Darlene, whose thoughtful insights and regular updates about our child’s development were always appreciated. The biannual assessments covering physical, language, and social development were thorough and shared thoughtfully during PTMs. We also loved the many memorable events and celebrations—from the Halloween parade and Christmas performance to Easter egg hunts and birthday celebrations. Even little touches like photo day every six months made our time at Little Mud Puddles extra special. We wholeheartedly recommend Little Mud Puddles to any family seeking a safe, loving, and joyful environment for their child. It truly was a second home for Hrishikesha, and we’re so grateful for the love and care he received there.
My son has been in the pre-K program at Little Mud Puddles for a month and he loves it. The teachers are warm and relaxed, unlike some preschools where it seems like the adults are overwhelmed. You can tell they genuinely enjoy working with young children. The school has a fantastic outdoor area with a sand pit that the kids love to play in. They do phonics and handwriting programs, which is nice, but I care more about my son learning the non-academic skills he needs for kindergarten -- how to follow a routine, solve conflicts with other kids, cooperate and play in a group, etc. The teachers are amazing at knowing just how much to step in to guide the kids on that stuff so they can learn and grow. I'm so happy we found Little Mud Puddles!
Most health conscious and child centric day care I visited (for example, child size toilet and child height wash basin, boy/girl separated restrooms). Most spacious outdoor play area with tall trees, outdoor xylophones, child cabins and sand play area, in addition to typical slides. (Unlike many daycares with old tricycles lying around - I think it’s not safe to have kids with mixed activities where some ride bikes while others walk/run). It’s also one of the best places that offer hot food cooked onsite for both breakfast and lunch. The kitchen is spotless. The most impressive thing is they clearly list each child’s dietary needs on the table with color coding beyond allergy, for example, no egg, pork ok but no beef, vegetarians etc. it’s also unique that they invest in security cameras and parents can watch their kid all day long in an app. The curriculum is good with comprehensive evaluations 3 times a year. Overall, very impressive. The only thing on my wishlist they don’t have is the Montessori style and some toys are a bit worn out (but still very clean, the classroom carpets are so spotless).
very good program
